I think I must have that too.Same here. I didn't have a good reason to upgrade but I have FOMO.
It is a one-time decision. You can't upgrade later so getting the most guarantees that you won't miss out on something you didn't imagine.

I like to pull live shows from Dead and Company and Dave Matthews Band. Those WAV files take up space. 1TB it is!I guess I just like to give my money to Apple. I don't have a good reason for ordering the 1TB version (Pro in Sierra Blue) but I ordered it anyway. Now I am trying to find a good use for the extra storage space. Did anyone else do the same?![]()
No man has ever gotten richer from collecting points, just a bubble to make people spend more on stuff they don't need but hey, it's your money.Yes. If it weren’t for the 100,000 point bonus on my chase card that this will give me i would have probably stuck with 256.
Music is very important to me and I have been wondering if I should have transferred my CDs to my iPhone in a loss-less format. I will need to look at how much more space they take up. I'd hate to go through that process again but I wonder how much I am missing out by listening to the compressed format.I usually go with 256gb but I have a 3 month old and with all the pictures and videos I’m going to be taking and with lossless audio, I didn’t want to even think about storage issues with keeping the phone for 2 years.
That actually happened to me a year ago regarding raw footage. I video record my sons basketball games for scouting and prep purposes. I would have to delete something off my drive in order to record it since the files were so large, even at the smaller 1080P setting.I assumed the TB option would be for pros that take raw footage and such. Turns out it’s for people that wanna store Apple Music’s library locally 😂
Sorry an extra $200 but that’s not gonna make or break me at allDon’t feel bad I had the 256gb 12 pro max and only used maybe 80GB of that storage. But I opted for the 1TB just because it was only an extra $100 I wanna say. It’s worth it
I always order the largest size hard drive that is available for an Apple computer. I find that the main reason I need a new computer is that I run out of hard drive space. I can tolerate a 'slower' computer for a while but when I run out of space to hold everything on the main drive (and start having to compress things) it is time for a new one.I didn't do it with my new phone order. I have a 512 11 PM and ordered a 512 13 PM. I still have 200GB available..... I was tempted to go 1TB.... and probably will next time I order a phone (either next year or 2023).
However I DID do it with my new iMac. Ordered a 2 TB solid state hard drive and once I got it realized that I already have all my stuff on multiple externals.... so kinda a waste of money.....
so I do know where you are coming from!
Also my thoughts exactly.I always get the top model so that it sells faster privately later.
1TB Gang!!Welcome to the Big Boys Club. I too ordered the 1TB version because I don't like the "GB" name. TB sounds a lot nicer and I can download tons of my favorite Netflix documentaries. Very happy with my choice. Let's hope it arrives flawless and no dust in the camera lens otherwise it's going back to Timmy.

Ehh Besides the iPhone the rest of the stuff im using the card for are bills and necessities. As long as you do it wisely you can come out on top!No man has ever gotten richer from collecting points, just a bubble to make people spend more on stuff they don't need but hey, it's your money.
Will be doing the same thing as well.I currently have the 256GB 12 Pro Max and will be upgrading to the 512GB 14 Pro Max next year. With all of the née camera features Apple keep adding, I’m going to have to upgrade my storage since my iPhone is my main camera.
