All you pro Max owners are never as cool as I was...

If you had this back in the day, you were a baller!!!! 🤔

I too have the Pro Max and unfortunately suffer from eye strain (assuming due to pwm). Money has nothing to do with my moving to an 11 if that happens, but at the same time I wouldn’t make a thread defending my decision so who knows the OP’s true intent. Sorry I sidetracked, but wanted to say I’m in the same boat and am torn between the regular 11 or my 8 Plus for yet another long year. You may lose an hour or two in battery life depending on your usage but would that be significant to you? I have continuous access to chargers so I’m not sure what battery life would be reasonable to others.
I’m having the same issue. I love my 11 Pro, but have been suffering long enough from own in my XS and now 11 Pro.

I’m an amateur photographer who is building a portfolio from both digital and DSLR cameras. I don’t mind the LCD display, but am having a hard time wanting to give up the Telephoto lens. This is a really difficult decision for me.

I feel ya. I used the telephoto lens a lot on my years with the 8 Plus. Even in conditions where I was long unaware that it wasn’t likely even working on the pic (low light). The new sensors make the telephoto lens so much more of a potential factor. Folks are on both sides of the fence regarding this: I personally would have taken the telephoto lens over the wide angle lens on the 11. Obviously all three lenses on the Pro series is ideal but, pwm. I don’t know the right answer. I sure wish I did.

Apologies I think put it off topic but at least it’s not nasty like a lot of the threads here and has been light hearted and friendly. Hopefully I’ve steered it back by actually talking about iPhones again as the last few posts were back on topic

Let’s get back on topic by disagreeing with each other over which iPhone is better lol.

Yes! How dare we have a little fun here in a disagreement over which iPhone we all should like more.

Sure! But I am still 200% happy with my iPhone 11 which respond to 100% of my needs and with a substantial saving of $530 from my previous iPhone 11 Pro 256gb

Why did you go from 11 Pro to the 11?

Why did you go from 11 Pro to the 11?

Because I realized that the iPhone 11 covers all my needs: great Camera with Ultra Wide lens (the one I was expecting for a while), great battery Life, 128gb of Storage option (the best option for my usage), great speed with new A13 and indeed iOS ecosystem. I am not using the telephoto lens (based on my past experiences with the iPhone 7+, X and Xs) and I wasn't impressed with the iPhone 11 Pro OLED screen which was quite warm beside been very bright.

Based on the above I didn't see why I originally paid an extra £420 ($530) for the 11 Pro 256gb hence why I swapped to the iPhone 11 128gb: I feel I have made a wise choice. If next year different iPhone models show more differences with specific and useful features dedicated to a "pro" models and if they match with any of my expectations then I'll go for the pro.

The better iPhone is the Pro without a doubt.

I don’t think anybody would disagree with that on a technical basis but it doesn’t mean the 11 isn’t good enough in what it offers hence why so many people opt for it over the Pro. It’s just history repeating itself like with the XR. The Pro like the XS before it has a much more limited market appeal based largely on price. It’s all down to how much value people place on certain features and whether or not they deem them worthy enough to pay more.

To honest the biggest reason for me choosing the Pro besides having the latest and greatest is the size. I DON’T like big phones. Even the Pro is too big for me believe it or not.

If Apple came out with the same size as the 8 with same specs as the Pro I would pay premium. I don’t even mind the bezels in the 8. The problem with my 8 was I’m a heavy user and wanted better battery life.

I think many share the same sentiment as you. I find it disappointing that the supposed SE2 will not only be a replica of the 8, thus not truly a small form factor, but also have numerous compromises in order to allow for the heavily reduced price. It’s one thing to offer it in the form factor of the original SE as it appears a lot of people would forego features for that size. But to still be the size of the still-offered 8 with an A13 chip seems odd even at that price.

I was hoping that the rumored SE would be close to the 8 but with close to the specs as the 11. But like you said for Apple to offer at the rumored price it won’t get the specs. I just hate big phones and my 11 Pro like I said and believe it or not is too big for me. The 6/7/8 chassis is my sweet spot.

I actually used my 8 over the weekend and really enjoyed using it. Love the more compact pocket-ability. But battery life is horrendous compared to the 11 Pro.

I’ll keep it for now while waiting for the 14 days to end.

I wonder if next years iPhone cameras selling point will be "Night mode now works on the Ultra wide lens too"
With optical image stabilization go with it lol.

2 days ago, I traded in my iPhone XS for a white iPhone 11 128gb, and I am very happy with my "upgrade". Price was not an issue for me, but I really love this IP11. The battery life is way better than my XS and it feels better in the hand primarily because of the aluminum edge instead of the slick stainless steel edge of the PRO. I normally like smaller phones but the IP11 feels great in the hand and I do like the bigger screen size. I love the White with aluminum edge combination.

Congrats! I have the XS and am thinking of going to the 11 as well. You goibg with no case?

I lasted a good 3 weeks with my iPhone 11 before I switched to the Pro Max this weekend. I hate that I gave in but I love the screen and as someone who who takes public transportation to work daily and watches Netflix I gotta have a better than average screen. I also love the battery life - the Max battery gets me through a whole day - the iPhone 11 didn't.

TT on the iphone is a must turn off to me. It looks absolutely terrible and just yellows/dulls everything out.
