So I guess iWork will have to be updated as well to work with iCloud, but I cannot use Documents in the Cloud on my iPad. Which has all the required updates.
TG4 dropbox.
TG4 dropbox.
i'm afraid noti cant believe they got rid of iDisk, now i'll have to rely on DropBox AND iCloud, i thought i could do it all on one service
Quick question, maybe someone here can help me.
I have Apple ID/iTunes account which I use to download apps for my iPhone and buy songs/tv shows etc.
I have a MobileMe account which I used briefly but never really used after the free trial
And I have a Gmail account that I use everyday to receive most of my important emails.
I don't use my .me email so I don't see the point in pushing those emails to any device.
Which email do I dedicate for iCloud?
Could I use my Gmail account with iCloud? Thats the email everybody knows.
If I use my MobileMe account will it sync all my movies and apps across my devices even though I used a different Apple ID?
Is anybody able to sign in to iCloud on their iPhone or iPad?
And is anyone able to go into their MobileMe mail settings on their device either?
Everytime I try these two things, settings will crash on my iPhone and iPad.
+1
The only way for me...
For those of you who have the following setup:
1. @me.com for Sync services (i.e. Mobile Me acct)
2. @domain.com for iTunes acct/Apple ID (i.e. Gmail)
If you do not use your @me.com as your primary email but do use Mobile Me for sync services I would suggest to use your @domain.com to setup iCloud and keep your Mobile Me acct separate for now.
Later on we will find out weather we will be able to merge our @me.com email addresses into iCloud or if we close our Mobile Me acct we can reaquire our @me.com email address through activating the mail portion of the iCloud control panel.
That is the best case scenario at the moment. However, please note, this only applies if you do not use your @me.com email address as a primary email.
As per Apple FAQ the ideal situation is to have one email address for Apple ID/iCloud.
'evening.
Having seen https://www.macrumors.com/2011/10/12/icloud-and-migration-from-mobileme-services-now-live/ I've just migrated my firstname.lastname@me.com account to iCloud. This was relatively painless.
Do I start the migration by simply logging in to https://www.icloud.com/ or is there a step to do before that?
The iPad .... could not be restored. An unknown error occured (3014).
Nothing works...a mess.
Its not working for me. I transitioned, but it never sent a push notification. Now when I try to verify settings as instructed my iDevices crash to the home screen. Yay for bugs!
Mobile Me did not have anything remotely resembling documents in the cloud.
- iWork for Mac is not (yet?) compatible with Documents in the Cloud.
...I am downgrading back to the iOS 4 as I type right now...
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHA - so much for "it just works". I thought the Apple "experience" was so magical from END to END in the "User Experience"! ROFL!!!!!!
I keep getting an error when on the last step to move to iCloud from MobileMe. It says, "Please try again later, we are unable to move your account at this time". Is anyone else getting this?
