Looks like your have a phone strapped to your wrist IMO

You have photos of you wearing a 38mm?

I find it amazing that so many people jump all over the OP for the 38mm looking huge, when he specifically said that the photos make it falsely appear that way (which is due to perspective issues with cameras at that distance). They then ignore the OPs, and many others, real life experiance with the actual watch who all have said the 38mm is too small.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again... alot of people are going to be dissapointed with their choice of the 38mm on the 24th. Not me though, and obviously not the OP.

but when you have every single person telling you that it looks too big for your wrist....it is probably too big for your wrist.

He's wearing the 42mm in the pics.

I'm sticking to the 38mm that I've ordered, the 42mm in the pictures looks ridiculous. Glad I ordered the 38mm. My wrists are a similar size from the pictures

I'm no Drake fan but the 38mm didn't look too small on him and I think he's a big guy

I was a bit panicky about the 42mm being too large but trying it on in the Apple store, I definitely made the right decision. I am inclined to agree with OP. Unless you are a man with significantly smaller then average wrists, 42mm is for you.

I can't stop laughing. No offence OP but it looks like you have a 3GS strapped to your wrist.

Way to big.

I honestly think you'll be disappointed when it arrives. I would never buy a 38mm after visiting the store, and am glad I listened to the reviews. It's just too small for a man.

Believe me, when I was a little kid I had the smaller (women's?) version of the Timex Ironman whatever watch, and it fit my wrist just fine. I would never wear that now, even though people here would claim it's the "right size" using some bizarre guestimate skill that they've somehow developed after not even trying on the watch.

I personally do not want some tiny thing on my wrist. I thought it looked puny. The 42mm is the perfect proportional fit for a wrist this size... and given that I have smaller wrists, I think it makes sense for most men.

Finally, someone with some sense!

I don't want a watch face that's the size of my wrist. That's my personal opinion. When I purchased my previous watches, I went out of my way to get a watch that was smaller as lots of men's watches can be gigantic. I think my Pebble Steel is about the same size as the 38mm which is great for me.

You're acting like no-one here has ever tried on a watch that is 38mm or less. The argument that it looks smaller in person may be true, but 38mm/less watches have been around for ages. Pictures are deceiving alot of the times, but that 42mm looks gigantic on your wrist, though I suspect it's your preference, which is fine. That's why Apple made 2 sizes.

I gotta say, it's not the first post I've read from someone who has actually seen these in person who has said that BOTH watches appear smaller in person and appear larger in photos.

Yeah, of course he's gonna piss off a bunch of people who already pre-ordered the 38mm, especially those who were unsure of which to choose. Some people really will be happier with the 38mm and that's great. Some won't, and it may turn out to be for the exact reason the OP describes - photos have a way of distorting the way we perceive things.

Not "/thread"
... As stated again and again, the band wasn't tightened in that first photo.

No. What was stated was that, again, your wrist is still small compared to the screen. Yes, the pics are angled. But your point of the post and contents within are a failure to the highest level.

Insinuating that age has to do with the watch is a complete misstep, not to mention someone in the first page posted a comparison picture of both watch faces and they look practically identical.

You like the bigger size. Cool. Not everyone will or does. You have no purpose to "call out" people about your preference and superiority of it.

Basically, be more mature about what you like. Many people have (and wear) 38mm watches aside from the Apple Watch and it accommodates us properly to what we want. I'm starting to wonder if people ever wore watches before these.

OP I'm gonna go with the "looks like you have a smartphone attached to your wrists" if anything it puts me off.

Lol even with your updated pics the watch still swallows your arm. Don't try to push us to the bigger size in hopes of justifying your own purchase.

Yes. This is exactly what I'm saying.

The perception that there is a "small and large" size based on the measurements is incorrect. The difference is only 3mm... so the "large size" being "huge" as some people are saying is completely absurd since the thicknesses are the same and there's very little difference otherwise.

With that said, for the same reason that it's perceived on the internet through photos that the watch looks huge, the perception in person is that the larger of the two sizes is more appropriate for men.

Even a kid wearing a 38mm is going to look "huge" on their wrist.

When are you lot going to learn to ignore the photos!!! This does not photograph well on your wrist!! It looks huge when its not. You can only judge this thing in person, trust me.

Read the other posts. You're full of crap because you haven't tried it on. Keep spreading misinformation buddy. I don't see your try-on photos anywhere... you're just guessing.

The age comparison was mostly directed at body size and is not meant to offend anyone.
