Question for those of you who sent your phone to ifixdirect for the conversion... are you supposed to receive something from him first so you can send over your phone? I placed my order on Tuesday night and haven't received anything. On top of that I even paid $50 for DHL International Express.. which from my understanding I should receive it the next day or at the latest 2 business days. I'm starting to get very worried here.

He emailed me a prepaid shipping label.
 
I had spoke to them a couple times just asking general questions and such. Then I read somethings here about peoples stuff not working properly and now there is a couple people worried about getting their phones back. I want a swap done but my concerns are the fact they they admitted to someone is a post in this thread that some of their parts are faulty and the fact that when i asked them about how they have been in business , i think they said like 2 months and the fact that they are a home based business worries me esp since I was one of the ones who had to pay a lot for my phone, I want the swap bad but dont know who i should use.
 
Seems like Apple is changing the little screws on the iPhone to torx so it's harder to change the backside to white.

Yea, mine had those. Apparently they weren't a problem.

Yea. If you've gotten a label in an email, you've gotta put it in a box and send it out.

:mad::mad: Now I'm really ticked. I don't think it should take them that many days (I placed my order on Tuesday night) to email me a prepaid label. And all this time I was thinking I was going to receive something from them via DHL before I can physically ship out my phone. I was really wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt.... but I'm gonna keep calling tomorrow and hopefully I'll get through to them. I'll keep everyone posted.

I say that having done regualr USPS shipping. That's how it worked for me. DHL might be different.

What state do you live in? I'm trying to figure out whether it's taking USPS a while or there was a problem with the shipment our phones are in. I'm in Texas, I figure since they're coming from NEw York, if you're any further west than Texas, we might be ok.
 
I'm scared!

so besides their so-called great customer service, here are 4 issues i had with their product. i had purchase two white front's, the first one i received pretty much look legit. i was gonna take photos originally and post some good reviews, but this one didn't have the speaker mesh on it so onto the next. unfortunately my second white front looked like this:

1. glass wasn't completely flush with white bezel frame

2. my second front plate had a different discoloration from my first back plate. notice the bezel frame is a bit off-white or a bit yellowish

3. comparing the two front's, my second one looks like cheap parts were ordered during their backorder just to get ***** done. second one is on the left. proximity holes are much larger (which prolly benifits the sensor) and again notice the crappy super glue excess on the top of the frame.

4. and finally when i got turned on, the lcd was a bit off centered. but atleast its not crooked, i can live with that.



What can I say?
I just ordered from them last week.
 
geez after reading all this stuff, i might as well just keep my iphone 4 black and wait in the future and get a newer generation white iphone. Dosnt seem worth it to me to have someone else rip open the phone and add parts that some say are OEM or not. Besides why would they want your old parts if they are in good condition besides repairing broken phones...

black is always classy just like the face of a watch so ill be stickin with that for now. :cool:
 
so basically most of their parts are not very good at, judging by all the complaints and their shipping is not very fast .....nice way to do business!!

I think you meant their shipping ISN'T very fast. You're right... I think with their sudden success, their QC and customer service has taken a dive... It's a real shame...

thanks fixed it.......who to use now....i was a little nervous about ifixdirect because they only just opened and they work from home which to me means this is more of a second job for him
 
lol after the guy from ifixdirect came on here and said all the stuff about offering better quality parts, etc.

same **** as zeetron, probably the same stupid company under a different name. might as well be, sounds like similar customer service and crap parts.
 
I am actually going to pray berfore I go to bed tonight that my parts are going to be ok when they get here (either monday or tuesday). I wish I would have known all of this before dropping $200! we will see what happens I will be doing the conversion on friday and will post pics and a review....

Has anyone that orderd from them last week gotten their parts? just wondering what I should be expecting.
