Ugh, today was the day I was going to order a MBP. Now that I have seen this I can't update until iLife 11 and iWork 11 come out.
Darn.
Darn.
How about Garage Band? New features?
Most iChat people I've encountered use the screen sharing capability to collaborate on something. It's sort of like WebEx but with no cost involved.Yes. I have no idea what network it uses (.me email??), whether it talks to other networks and what it even looks like. No one uses it as far as I know.
Usual is post-announcement purchases qualify for "uptodate" program, which is typically $10 for a DVD of the program(s). More recent experience has shown that people who purchase before that date but gripe convincingly to a CS rep will also receive a free/low-price upgrade disk.
I thought leopard was intel only as well also it is as 64bit as snow leopard is for most of us still
I hope that apple switch the startup kernels over in an upcoming os upgrade, it would force devs to start developing for 100% 64bit systems.

Am I missing something? I've had Facetime on my Mac for years - it's called iChat.
I never really understood why there wasn't a WYSIWYG iPhone app creator. It would save me months of having to learn Objective C.
Mystery app? My money is on a simple app creator for iphone/pad/pod touch.

For me, the killer app would be financial! I would love for an apple authored financial software to complete the iLife package. None of the financial apps out there now quite fit the bill for me.
That would be a better fit for iWork. iLife is about creativity. For me, the killer app would be financial! I would love for an apple authored financial software to complete the iLife package. None of the financial apps out there now quite fit the bill for me.

You're right, Mac4Ever has just updated their statement. The source speaks for the 17th of August, not the 7th.I doubt if it'll be released on Saturday the 7th. Most likely they got their dates wrong. The release date is probably Tuesday the 17th.
Gee, I guess Aperture is not needed since there already is Lightroom. Nor is Apple needed since Microsoft already exists! That's your logic; silly huh?
Aesthetically and functionally. Better usability, customizable editing tools, I dunno, stuff like that. Just look at Aperture; it makes a good replacement for Lightroom in many ways.
