Eh...

I think the Watch looks a bit fat (although I'll take a fat Watch if it means better battery life), and the digital crown's prominence has always seemed a bit unbecoming to me, but otherwise it looks fine. It's only odd in that it's a squared shape, whereas most watches have traditionally been circular. Whether it's professional in appearance or not has a lot to do with the band that's equipped, in my opinion. The Gear S3 in the photos above reminds me of the watch I used to wear in middle school... I'd wager that, similar to the Watch, whether it looks professional or not has a lot to do with the band that is equipped.

Can't remark on the functioning, as I've never used an S3. But I hope that the changes Apple will invariably make are pleasing to you, and the rest of us too.

Yeah, i see that circular smartwatches are selling extremely well because they look just like a Timex....

The fat Apple Watch has no business being shaped that way! Who the hell wants their DATA to be displayed on a squarish display?! Pure idiocy of Apple! Who the hell decided to make Apple Watch so damn unique that even a high-end Swiss copied its design?!! I want to look just like a Timex!!! Damn Apple and their unique high end design using high end materials!!!

I want to feel like a high schooler again! Damn you Apple!

I stopped wearing mine not because of boredom but mostly because of style. I like the functionality of the watch, miss it daily but I prefer the look of a nice timepiece. The SS apple watch I have looks nice but just doesn't compare.

That's partly how I feel but then I'll wear the AW plus a Swiss watch on the other wrist.

I don't know how stylish that is ;)

No, no boredom here! I bought a S0 SG 38 MM for me and my wife back in 2015 and we both have used it for fitness activities alone. I was telling her the other day how this watch has really worked in terms of motivating me to get out and workout as much as I could as opposed to before I got it when I was skeptical of what I would use it for. Notifications, the timer, the weather, etc I use this watch all the time.

I upgraded to a SS 38 MM with Milanese Loop last week when my wife bought me just the Milanese band and I convinced her that I would rather return the band and put the money towards getting a new watch altogether. My old watch my father-in-law is getting as a present so it worked out really well and so far this new SS S2 has been fantastic. I can't wait to test it out when I go do laps at the pool.

You are right. It doesn't compare to a mechanical watch. However, that's why I like to rotate my watches as well. Both have their purposes and both are suitable for different occasions.

The S3 is twice as big, and twice as heavy as the Apple Watch, and the screen has less available real estate.
You're probably right. I wasn't saying it as a point of comparison, though; just that when I look at it on my wrist, it looks a bit fat. Apple are experts at slimming things, so I'm sure that in time we'll have an ultra-thin Watch... but I'd take a Watch that can go for more than two days without a charge and maintains the current thickness over a thinner version that keeps the current battery life.

On a side note, many don't appreciate the thickness of the Apple Watch. That's one of my favorite features with the stainless model with the 42 mm. Is having the thickness and heft to to it. It just has more substantiality And the added weight of a much larger Watch. It was the first thing I noticed when I upgraded from the aluminum model to the stainless model.

Had my V2 watch for a couple of weeks now and what it boils down to is basically a really good fitness tracker, notifications screen and a really basic iPod. I mean, ONE playlist for god sakes - and this product is supposed to be for fitness people (thankfully will be sorted with OS 4)? No official podcast support either - left to buggy 3rd party software.

Im hoping OS 4 will make the watch feel a bit more alive and interactive.

I played with a Samsung S3 frontier the other day, that thing is like a proper computer. I wish the apple watch was a little bit more like that instead of just showing simple text and numbers with the most basic functionality possible.

Having said that - I do love it and wear it every day. I just feel there is so much more it could do but for some reason, Apple is holding back. Again...no offline podcasts...WTF apple.

It's a shame we have such a limited selection of watch faces. Wish developers could create them as well.

Dont worry, in september you will have a selection of Toy Story faces to enjoy

No way. For me as a important guy, I constantly get notifications that I need to see and it's nice when I'm out and about just to talk into the watch for responding to texts and emails instead of getting the phone out and typing and around the house I can leave the phone in another part of the house and still get all of my notifications. Very important to me as my world revolves around notifications.

I also find it helps people be more active as closing the rings becomes a challenge and people love that. The health stuff is great too PLUS all of the other benefits. I think it's the best smartwatch and I don't even see how Garmin could best them. Garmin, really? They need to stick to 2nd tier with Jawbone, Fitbit, Pebble, Samsung, and everyone else. Or they could just make GPS units but no one needs those either because iPhone and car mount. So yeah, Apple Watch is king.

Funniest post of the day so far truly Sir LOL

I've bee wearing another watch to work and wearing one of my Apple watches at home some of the time. I guess the newness of the Apple watches is wearing off now for me.

Plus, sometimes, I'll put on my Apple watch before bed and it doesn't register anything the whole night. I slept probably the best sleep in at least two months last night and the watch didn't record any of it, not even my heartbeat.

As for exercising, I had one perfect week in the entire time I owned the watch and that was the first week in June. Haven't been out walking since.

I'm not going to sell any of my Apple watches. I just enjoy wearing my other watches too, maybe even a bit more because I don't have to charge their batteries or check on the batterie life after wearing it a day.

That's my take on my Apple watches since buying them in March.

There is something wrong with your Watch or the connection with your iPhone.

For me, my Watch sometimes records too much info...heck i rather it takes my HR less often and save battery. :D

At first I really loved the 42mm Series 2 but am now so jaded with it that I often won't wear it, preferring one of my Swiss watches instead.

I get annoyed by notifications that mean nothing to me from the likes of BBC News (yes, I know that I can change this).

I did buy the watch anticipating that it would motivate me to exercise more; I've found that I'll exercise more or less the same with or without the watch.

I still think it's one of the best smart watches around (barring the more feature rich Garmin models) but I'm tiring of mine.

Does anyone else feel the same about their Apple watch?

All three of my AW sit in a drawer. Have not worn in months.

That may be where my three watches end up eventually.

I wear watches 24/7 and always have pretty much since I was around 10. I've been wearing one of my older G-Shocks to my job because it can handle being splattered with water and grease and other gunk and banged around and it will not break plus it's solar powered and checks in with the time server nightly. I don't feel like I have to baby the thing. I just how it on and go to work every day.

My seatbelt hit my Nike+ a week or two after purchase and left a little smudge on the screen. I can only see if it the light shines on it the right way but it's still there. The G-Shock that I wear to work daily is five years old and has no scratches anywhere on it.

I'm ok with it. It's a nice and comfortable watch. My customized modular watchface is colorful and pleasant. It tells me among other things, also the temperature outside and how many steps I have taken. Sleeptracking sync with sleep++ and healthkit doesn't work but I prefer to stay on watchOS2 & iOS 9 than to update my whole sticky macOS ecosystem. It's not particularly fun to travel with, one more thing to constantly charge is a hassle. (First world problems is also problems, right?)

Nope. But, I don't expect much excitement and I had long ago quit wearing watches anyway.

Been wearing the Apple watch since the day the SS S0 came out. Wearing a SS S2 now and love it as much a the first day of wearing the S0.

I use quite a few apps but notifications is my main use.

I had a Series 0 sports but sold it a couple months back. I kind of miss it now but for me the issue is battery life when traveling.

Its fine when im home, but when I travel its annoying to have to charge another device.

If the battery life would increase to at least 3 days than I would get it again i think.
