Delivery still set to today, but not on its way to me yet. Not alarming yet since this guy usually comes early afternoon.

Edit: Looks like my last delivery did not have a in transit state ... so I'm not worried :D

Here we go again!

It's taken UPS 9 days to get the iMac out of China.
Lets hope that it doesn't take them another 9 days to get it out of Germany.

I am surprised that UPS are still in business!

Time Activity

The story has an end.

I got mine!!!!!!!!'

So far looks nice and undamaged.

I wish you guys happy hours when it arrives....
(And will miss that tread)

I will report how it works....

Just got a text mine is now ready to get picked up at the store. 5weeks and 1 day after I placed my order.

Mine is still expected to arrive tomorrow from UPS but... It just arrived at home today. I'm not gonna complain !

I've replaced the 2x4 go of ram by 4x8 and just started the Mac.

One thing I can tell right now : the machine is incredibly fast and the Retina screen for surfing (and writing comments on) the web is simply awesome. My external 2713HM from Dell (excellent so far) is blurry when I look at it.

Impressed so far.

Just received mine at the office in central London [Fitzrovia for those who might be close].

Will be unboxing when I get home.

Good luck all.

Mine here too. So far so good.
Speedy and working well. I7, 8GB, M295X ordered 31st October, shipped 21st November, arrived 1st December.

Now off to play :D :D

I seem to have entered some Kafkaesque alternative reality.

My iMac was due for delivery tomorrow. It had arrived safely at Tamworth last night and this morning the tracking on UPS said it was on the vehicle for delivery today. I also received a text message from Apple saying that it would be delivered today.

I therefore cancelled arrangements that I had made for today and waited in.

At 4pm I checked UPS tracking again. This time it told me that it was 'In Transit' but was at Tamworth. The scheduled delivery date information had gone and no date was given.

I therefore rang UPS who were absolutely useless. They said it would not be delivered until Wednesday as that was what Apple had contracted for - even though it appears to be sitting in my local depot.

I gave up on UPS at that point and rang Apple. To be fair the guy I spoke to was really helpful. He couldn't understand what had happened because it was still showing as out for delivery today on his system. I told him that I had been told that I wouldnt get it until Wednesday which he was amazed at and said it was not right.

While I was on hold he phoned UPS and was given the same cock and bull story about the delivery being scheduled for Wednesday. He sounded pretty frustrated when he came back to me. He tells me that he has officially flagged it as overdue and he is pretty sure it will be delivered tomorrow.

I can sort of understand delays the other side of the world where flights and customs clearances etc are involved. I don't understand however why there should be delays when it is sitting in a warehouse a few miles away from me.

Fingers crossed it will come tomorrow but if it doesnt I will have waited in for 2 days

Hi Olexandr,

I take it that you ordered on the 23rd November? typo??

If so I ordered on the same day.

I have it! Arrived yesterday evening. After 41 long days waiting for it ... I'm still undecided if I'm happy or not.

I hope everybody is receiving it quite soon also. don't spend your precious time checking the UPS webpage ;-)

Just had a dispatch notification for mine, delivers next week 08/12. WOW!

I ordered mine yesterday (same spec as yours) and got a dispatch notification the same day but it was just for the Applecare warranty... The iMac is still expected to dispatch 23rd Dec-5th Jan.

I had originally returned one that I ordered on launch day since the 290X didn't appear to be contributing to a smooth experience. Having had an evening with the 295X I can say that it makes a huge difference, at least in my experience.

Both machines were i7, 24GB RAM, 3TB Fusion.

Very happy I returned for the alternative machine.

For unknown reasons, my order was delayed for an extra day. But finally the UPS driver was at my door this morning, unfortunately I was out. Luckily, I have her cell number, so a few text exchanges further and she'll arrive in about one hour for a second try. I'll make sure I'm in.

This is by far the longest wait ever for a new Mac (I'm a Mac user since 1985, I've seen a couple of them…)

Mine has just arrived. It's gorgeous.

As a previous Windows PC user I've got a lot of work ahead to set it all up but first impressions are great.

Apart from the screen which is staggering I am amazed how quiet it is. I can hardly hear a sound which is more than can be said for my water-cooled PC. I am using a Thunderbay four drive array which does make a bit of fan noise but when my 3 metre TB cable arrives, that will be hidden away out of earshot.

I have had a right hassle with UPS but in the end it did arrive before the original delivery estimate date.

Apple phone support have been superb and really helpful. I decided a few days after ordering that I would like a trackpad instead of a magic mouse (as I already have a MM for my Macbook Pro) I was advised to leave the order 'as is' to avoid extra delay and contact Apple for exchange when it arrives.

I rang just now and a nice American lady said she would send me the trackpad FOC and I didnt need to return the mouse. That's what I call service. I wish the same could be said of UPS.

My order stats are as follows

4.0GHz QC i7 Turboboost 4.4GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB (extra 16GB self installed after arrival 'cos cheaper!)
512GB Flash Storage
AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4GB GDDR5

Ordered 13th Nov
Estimated Delivery date 4th-10th Dec
Dispatched 26th Nov
Delivered 2nd Dec

Hope that helps
