I have one minor complaint which is probably just a manufacturing defect: The power cord will not plug in all the way, and does not sit flush with the back of the computer as the manual indicates it should; the side effect of this loose cord is that when I adjust the display, the power becomes disengaged and the computer shuts off. I tried opening the case and reajusting the power cord but no luck.

Thanks!
And it's a long a** flight to miss. Hopefully they'll go straight over the north pole, it's gotta be quicker that way.Fump said:Voiteur, I have the same Fed Ex issue, and I'm also in Chicago. Maybe we missed our flight.

Not only does this advertise what is inside for theives, it makes the iMac box arrive in not so nice condition. I love having my Apple box look great, and it helps when you sell the computer too, so having it show up damaged and dirty is going to be somewhat unpleasent.

well, I just got off the phone with Fed Ex. Unfortunately, she made a lot of "hmmm" noises. She thought I should have gotten my iMac tomorrow morning at the latest judging from the time it scanned in and she just couldn't understand why it hasn't budged. There is a "slight" possibility it is lost in China (according to her). She wants me to give it till tomorrow morning until I actually freak out though because there may be some type of "computer lagtime with the scans" (what are they on, Gateways?). Also, she said that maybe this was a "Chinese Holiday". Perhaps it was her first day. Also, she sounded Canadian (not that that means anything).pckilla said:at least yours has shipped!!!![]()

This is getting ridiculous... you could dig a hole to Shanghai quicker than this- for over 24 hours now this thing hasn't budged. Is anyone else stuck in Shanghai? How long did it take for others tracking to move beyond this point?

Im living in Japan and plan on ordering a new imac from the japan apple store online, and Im just curious if it takes longer for products like that to come out in other countries. It was available on the web store immediately, but i dont know if that means its in stock or shipping or whatever...
