iMac G5 Now Shipping

My 20-incher w/ BT, ordered on 8/31, was shipped on the 23rd. I have a few questions though: the times on the Fedex tracking page, those are obviously in China time because it's not the 24th yet. How many hours ahead are they? And exactly how long does it usually take for orders to get from Shanghai to the eastern U.S.? God, I can't wait!

Except you forgot to think about the next stage of your addiction. The next stage is the check the FedEx website endlessly until it comes to your door step. That's what I'm doing now.............just checked and still "Held in Indy"..........and it is just as bad as waiting for it to ship in some ways!

They look to be 13 hours ahead of us, but then I don't know if that is exactly right because of the international dateline.

My guess is if it shipped today, you will get it Monday or Tuesday.

I posted a little while about how the shipping mostly likely works.

At this point FedEx does not physically have your iMac only the tracking number. Once their driver gets the package and scans it picked-up then your status will change.

Has anyone found that the Order Status at Apple updates to "Shipped" during the day BEFORE you get an e-mail" I have this feeling that if there is no e-mail from Apple in the morning there will be no change on the order status site. Has anyone had this happen???

Yes this has happened to me before. The order status has changed to shipped and then I recieved the email from Appple the day after - once I think the email came 2 days after!

Depends on when they submit. Apple prints the shipping label in the day and then when fedex comes that evening and the driver scans and uploads will be when you see any info in the fedex system.

I did the exact same thing! I have 2GB of memory sitting here that just won't fit in my iBook G3/800 no matter how hard I try!
