iMac G5 Now Shipping

i agree with you...mine seems to have been left as well...because STILL no fedex update for me :(
 
Well, a new day has dawned in China and still no love from Apple. If that's not bad enough, I just got confirmation that my copy of Myst 4 has shipped from Amazon.

So now I've got Apple Care, Airport Express, 2GB ram, Myst 4 and empty deskspace.

Not that I'm not happy for all of those who's iMacs are on their way, I am, believe me. I just feel left out.

Also, it seems there has been a curious absence of new shipping reports. After all, it is Tuesday morning over there.
 
My package shipped early on Saturday, which being the weekend doesn't totally surprise me that it didn't move for a couple of days:

So, it just sat there all day on Monday (given that Sunday is an off-day in China, which I'm not sure about). I would figure it would atleast be on its way to the next stop by the end of the day.

Here's hoping it shows up by Thursday, or I'll give Apple a ring and get that $30 expedited shipping charge credited. Of course, I'll end up spending it on something else, though. :)

Yep, same here man, I just saw it, I was like SWEEEEEET!

Interestingly, one of the tracking pages says "In transit" while the other says "Arrived at sort facility"; both at 1:55 PM, both in Anchorage.
 
Nope Andie, just says left FedEx ramp in Shanghai. I'm gonna stop checking now and try to get some work done. We have tomorrow off from school again because of the hurricane, so I get to play this game all over again tomorrow!

Well I hope yours gets to you tomorrow!

Curses! I was so sure yours would have updated too. My waybill tracking page still hasn't updated though. FedEx just isn't on the ball much are they? I think it will get here by Wednesday at some point.

I'm certain that those who's are stuck some where will see movement soon. There's just no way FedEx can get away with jerking people around this much.

I have the direct 800 number to the IPD Department if anyone wants it to give a call tomorrow morning for an update.

Just for the record I'm a chick. :D I'm assuming it's on it's way to IN now but that is just my guess. I would buy a scratch ticket but NC has no lottery. They're all stuck ups! :p

I vowed I was done checking FedEx for the day but based on this post, I just checked.

So maybe nothing is ever updated on the FedEx tracking page for me, but at least this thread grows every time I press refresh. This is seriously the best support group ever!

Let's see. I ordered my (stock) 20" iMac from my employer's reseller on the 1st of September. It's now the 28th. If I don't hear from him by Friday, I'll be calling him up and saying "What's going on?" *sigh* I wants it, my preciousssss... :eek:

This is in Australia, by the way. Ordered on an edu discount from a reseller. Now it's a waiting game. :(

I guess it wouldn't bother me so much that my stuff hadn't shipped yet had they not sent EVERY OTHER DANG THING ON THE ORDER AFTER I SPECIFICALLY SAID SHIP ALL AT ONCE!!

I mean I'm staring at an Applecare box, an iSight, an Airport Extreme, four boxes of DVD-R media, The Sims and UT2004. Instead of anything else I've got 'on or before Sep 29th 2004' on the system.

Heh. it won't let me do that many emoticons, comes back and tells me to delete some.

I mean it's not like my old iMac sucks or nothing, but come on.

Now I'm stuck in Alaska as fedEx does not show me on the 3:15 flight.

By the way, just learned that FedEx flies direct from Japan to Memphis so there is hope for those who are stuck that they will not have to go through Alaska.

Oh, well, another check before bed and then I'll wait until the morning.

Ours were pretty much exactly the same through PH. Then mine decided it wanted off and debarked in Japan at 9pm.

I imagine that my iMac is sitting near yours. We're from the same area of the country, and my trail is nearly identical to what you posted.

Looks like they should arrive in a few days. Sure beats Oct. 11 or whatever FedEx estimated.

You would think that the way everyone seems to track every mile of their iMac on the fedex site, they'd just put GPSs in the things so we can track them down to the millimeter! :)

What are the direct flight schedules for Anchorage to Memphis?

I'm screwed for tomorrow unless mine goes direct - the departure time for my iMac form Anchorage was around 5:40PM.

I sure hope that FedEx understands that there are a lot of people watching how they move shipments because of the iMac. Good time to build or break reputations for some.
 
I just finished watching 'Cast Away'.

Probably a bad idea, considering we're already on edge.
