Not me. Mine was ordered on 31 Aug, and 'shipped' on 24 Sept. It is, however, still in Shanghai (and destined to remain there if the Chinese holiday rumours are to be believed). My bank account has beed debited, and to make matters worse this morning the postman brought a 'delivery note' from Apple.

I'm not really bothered about the delay, but it is a nuisance being unable to plan to be at home when the thing finally arrives.

finrock, I just checked it again after reading your post to refresh and it's in Houston at the "destination location," which I think means the local depot, esp. because it "left FedEx ramp" in Houston prior to that. That's usually how it seems to go anyway. What's odd is one tracking shows the Int'l shipment release in Indy, but the one with the Houston hits doesn't, just AK and Houston. Now they just gotta put it on the truck and it'll be home!

Anyway, trying to breathe deeply, relax... ;)

Mine still isn't on the truck. It just says "Left FEDEX ramp in Tampa".

YES! FedEx tracking: Arrived at FedEx Destination Location (Scarborough, CA), and I just called FedEx and they said it will be delivered before noon today. SWEET!!! Delivered on last Friday and arriving today...$45 well spent!
 
finrock, how far is tampa to palm harbor? are there FedEx stations closer than tampa where it will go through?

I think you'll get it; I'm now thinking I'll get mine, so you have to get yours. :cool: I wish they'd deliver it later today if not in the AM, but I don't think FedEx works that way. But I think for a lot of us, it won't matter as we'll get 'em this AM. Please? ;)

Unfortunately this is probly a sign of things to come :( If you get a chance, give em a call and see which new date they meant to send. Though it's probly irelevant since they can just keep amending it as they miss.

I can't believe they're missing outside ship dates for those of us who ordered 8/31 & 9/01. Especially since we know for a fact they've been shipping all kinds of orders that came in as much as 15 days later (orders in both sizes & with all varieties of configurations including BT). I didn't mind so much waiting till the 30th if need be. But to miss that date is a joke. If I get a delay email that says I'm waitin maybe another 10 days or so I'll be very tempted to end my Apple experience right here :mad:
 
Finally shipped

My 20"/1GB/250GB/BT/Wireless KM finally shipped last night.

After Apple told me repeatedly for three days that it would ship in "12 to 24 hours," I called yesterday and complained. The guy I spoke with said he would send emails to the proper department to make sure it was shipped out. He was confused why it hadn't shipped yet. He somehow kept his word.

(I ordered early on August 31, and the ship date was on or before today (September 29).)
 
Okay, I live in northern California, and according to the tracking page, it went from Indy to San Jose to Oakland to Berkeley.....Berkeley, Missouri. :confused:

edit: well now it's magically back on the west coast again, leaving Sacramento about half an hour ago. Whatever, it's coming eventually :D...
 
Mine got an Int'l shipment release at 1:36AM Indianapolis time. I haven't seen any updates since then. However, I tracked a few of the packages for my brethren in the south that shared the same flights with me and theirs are out for delivery. Here's to hoping that in the next couple of hours I'll get a spew of updates ending in "Out for delivery."

Congratulations for those who already see that!
 
FredAkbar: I think that's a time zone thing, which FedEx tracking doesn't handle well. At least I hope so.

Hey awesome Saminator. Mine's now in Winnipeg - actually it left the winnipeg ramp this morning. Crossed fingers that means later today or tomorrow at the latest!

Congrats to all that are receiving theirs today. Trekkie definitely call, keep asking for a manager until you get one. I seem to remember someone ordering BT in mid Sept and it shipping already. That is ridiculous!

Fred, Looks like you got the dreaded "mis-sort" that is a tough one. Make sure you call FedEx so they can do a locator and get that baby back on the right track.

Now I have to wait until Saturday when I get back from NYC. :(

Not sure how many of you are having this problem, but I had to stop using the waybill tracking number. It seems to have stopped updating in Indianapolis when the international shipping release occured. Strangely enough, the time stamp on that shows that the shipping release on the waybill happened when my package was two hops away from Indy, and one hop away from my local hub.

Speaking of my Mac, the last scan was two hours ago as it was heading for my local hub. Based on previous FedEx experience, I should see this darn thing today. I can't wait, but at the same time I wish it would hurry, since I have things I need to do and don't want to miss the delivery attempt. Ugh.

I want my iMac

I'm so jealous of you all. Everyone seems to be receiving their new iMacs and I've yet to get the Apple e-mail telling me it's shipped. I must admit, I ordered on Sept. 19, considerably later than everyone else, but I know I've seen a couple of people who ordered on that date receive theirs.

I ordered a 20-inch, 1 GB, Airport Express, BT w/mouse, keyboard. I'm just wondering if there is anyone else out there that ordered around the 19th and has had theirs shipped yet? I have a delivery date of Oct 19, but I really hope it comes earlier than that because I'll be out of town from Oct. 16-23. Bummer. Do you think I could call Apple and ask about my delivery date even though it is no where near my promised date? I know they're probably gettng slammed with calls.

Well I called today and they said it's going to ship today, so we'll see.

They also told me that they went in and removed the 'ship complete' stuff because it was delaying orders even more if another product was on delay. I pointed out that all the other parts shipped two weeks ago so how could they delay my computer any more...but didn't get a real answer.

I ordered that on 8/31 and haven't seen it ship yet, 250GB HDD.

Supposedly they're shipping today.
 
i ordered on 8/31 also 20" 1GB 250HDD BT KB&M and received an email with tracking on 9/28. It has not been updated

OK, so my beautiful iMac has arrived as well! Way ahead of schedule! Fedex website had told me it would not arrive until Oct. 13, so I almost had a heart attack when my doorbell rang this morning! To those that are waiting, have faith! It'll be worth the wait! Oh, and the feature where you can connect the new iMac to your old computer via firewire to transfer files, etc.... easy and so amazing! :D

What great timing, Apple introduced new versions of Logic today! How is this on topic? Because either of them will run just dandy on my newly-delivered iMac G5 :)

got my 17" this morning. had told myself that i would resist setting it up and instead get some work done for a deadline on Monday. fat chance.

it is a beautiful machine, simply beautiful. i was worried the 17" screen would seem small, but it's plenty big. no clue about fan noise yet (altho i don't see how it could possibly be louder than my G3), b/c i haven't been able to use it. problem for me, and it's a heartbreaker, is that my G3 won't act as a target disk, so i can't use the set-up assistant to transfer files. guess it's just going to have to sit and look pretty on the desk until i can get around to transferring files individually.
