Image of 'Flat' Redesign From Early iOS 7 Build Reportedly Leaks

It would be literally harder to find a camera that takes a grainy photo in todays age than to find a true leak of the new UI but theyve managed to do it. #fake

The quality of the image looks like how the majority of cell phones perform in lower light.

/It very well could be fake.

Its almost like someone is doing this as a test. Make the worst fake leak possible, by a poorly placed photoshop job that is obviously completely mis-aligned with the screen, take some simple theme from Cydia that changes the icons, report it as a leak from unnamed sources, and see how many blogs report this as a leak.

Whoever did this, I bet he's laughing that all the blogs are playing right into his hands.

The worst fake I've ever seen. Here's why...

If you use a camera and expose for the highlights (in this case the screen) then it will have the proper exposure and the background (in this case) will be dark. On the other hand if you expose for the dark areas then the dark areas will be visible but the screen will be blown out white or near white without detail.

This fake shows that neither the highlights or dark areas were what was exposed for. If they exposed for the dark areas the dark areas would be (to some extent) and the screen would be blown out.

Also note the News Stand icon... If the apps are moving away from skeuomorphism then surely News Stand will not show a bookshelf anymore. A book might make sense but surely they will get rid of the book shelf skeuomorphism in the app itself.

OMG, this really cant be the new iOS. If this is what they keep as such a secret and iOS7 is nothing more than a simplified iOS6.

Cydia anyone?

There are hundreds of themes for iPhones available RIGHT NOW. Photo-realistic, flat, black and white, pink... U name it.
Why base the whole iOS update excitement on a flat design? Windows phones are as flat as they can be and they are not selling.
I already have a flat them on my iPhone 5.
I think Apple should worry about making a bigger screen, faster processor, a better night camera and a better OS for an Android killer phone instead of trying to sell us on stupid flat graphics...

Fake or not I really hope this is not the mega change they talked about, cause I don't see any differences...

Real or fake, it is very obvious that this is a picture of a picture. It is difficult to understand why so many people do not realize this.

O M G

If these are the extent of the UI changes, the internets are going to explode in a flaming ball of whine.

Jony I've can't seriously think the current state of "endless screens of nasty app icons and folders" is something that compliments his hardware design.

:apple:
You're SO mistaken if you truly believe this.

Your iOS is nothing more but the quickest path to your apps. There shouldn't be an extra layer between unlocking your phone and your destination (the app).

iOS and its grid of icons is the best example of minimalist design UI focused entirely on the user and nothing less.

Widgets, hubs, tiles, they're all distractions. Apple gets this. It shouldn't change.

I'm so glad Apple is putting their major focus on the looks of icons. Because if there is one big glaring issue with iOS it is the look of the icons. I mean, they shouldn't waste time on notification center or interapp operability. Let's make the grid of icons look better.
Actually this is one of the reasons I like Apple: They sweat the small stuff. :)

Although lately, they've been missing the mark both small and big. It's time for less talk, more product.

I hope next week will not disappoint entirely. ;)

That's godawful.

And yet the NEWSSTAND icon & SETTINGS icon are still very much skeumorphic.

I would hazzard an assumption that it is indeed a fake.

I think you forgot about the filter Apple employees wear on their devices to limit viewing angles. This is surely one of those filters. It's real.

I'm waiting until after WWDC to do this but I might have to list my iPhone 5 on Amazon. The galaxy s4 might be in my near future. Just have to wait and see what key changes ios7 brings. Plus like many other I already have the "flat" design

just my opinion

Will these people ever learn to take decent pictures?! Nonetheless, if this is an early Alpha then I'm really keen to see what the final version will look like next week!

Not that I have any suggestion for something groundbreaking and new, but take away a background wallpaper and that screen doesn't look all that different from the original iPhone. I hope this isn't all that's coming with iOS 7.

Sweeping changes? no...

You wont see sweeping changes to the UI in IOS 7. While we may like them, Apple will not isolate the majority of its "normal" users by making them relearn a new UI. They will do it gradually, as they have introduced change in the past, despite what the "power user" would like to see.
