You fan boys are ridiculous. This is called technology everyone feeds off of each other. Hate to tell you underneath that shiny aluminum Macbook Pro is a 500 dollar HP laptop.

Macrumors could post an article "Microsoft ends world hunger" and people would reply... The iPhone is so much better anyways or M$ copied Apple on ending world hunger.

Wow, apple's engineering team just keeps amazing me! They managed to fit an entire HP laptop inside of my 1 inch computer?? AND fit all their components as well?

Well done apple! :p

You're attempt at being clever just makes you look foolish. Any person in their right mind knows exactly what I am saying.

Obviously you have Physical Keyboard Envy. Fanboys frequently come down with cases of this, and others like Physical 2 Button Mouse Envy.

Don't forget penis envy, which the pitiful fan boys (especially LTD) suffer from. It's so sad to see them trying to compensate for having small penises by attaching their identities to a brand name.

... and I was using a figure of speech.

And all of you are getting way too worked up about all of this.

It's... a phone!!!!

I'm afraid I'm going to diagnose you all with incredible neurotic behaviour.... I'm... I'm sorry.... there's nothing we can do....

Let the phone be what it is. Who cares if it sucks, or if it's great. You'll find out WHEN you use it.

With that said, please continue :D

Our lives our in your hands and you have butterfingers!?!??

That's a cheap crappy looking version of the Palm Pre made by Microsoft with Windows Mobile on it!

My guess it they'll market it as having 8 screens when it only has one, half of them will have hardware failures and you'll need to close everything manually with the Task Manager every 5 minutes.

I fail to see anyone buying this at all.

Odd, the iPhone didn't look (or act) anything like any BlackBerry I had ever seen when it was announced.

I don't think wannabe means what you think it means.

The iPhone was a completely new phenomenon. There's no sense comparing to what came before or existed when it was released. That's why the entire mobile industry underwent such a rapid and significant change. The iPhone is still unequalled, though everyone's trying.

And here's the big difference: when Steve announced the iPhone, he actually pulled the thing out and demoed it in real time.

No 3D renders. No faux multimedia demo (like the recent Microsoft tablet "leaks" or Project Natal). No smoke, no mirrors, no vapor, no FUD. The anti-Microsoft product unveiling if ever there was one.

You live in a total fantasy world. In Japan before the iPhone, Phones were playing live television shows, doing live web cam feeds, being used as "swipes" to pay for goods, downloading media, advanced web browsing.

The only thing the iPhone did was added gesturing (which Apple bought from a 3rd party company), added visual voicemail (which is nothing new as companies like Avaya have had Visual Voicemail in the corporate world for years), and the App Store (nothing new Apple just is an amazing marketing machine.)

The iPhone is a great piece of technology, but it wasn't this ground shattering thing. The American Cell Market is so behind the times and the iPhone shook it up. Ill give it credit. The iPhone has changed the way Americans see Cell Phone. When I went to Japan a few years ago people were interested in my phone but again, it couldn't do half of what most of their crazy Sharp phones could.

The total fantasy world is a place where thinking that "features" are the only thing that matter - that actually using those features is secondary or even irrelevant. And that's where all previous devices had failed.

That the iPhone took all these features and created a device that both my 66-year-old father and 2-year-old son can pick up and intuit without any confusion was indeed groundbreaking.

But I'm sure you're right, of course, and the iPhone will become a global flop because it's just an underpowered "Me Too" device.

Here's what's been going on, Laguna:

I pull facts from the web - from different sources, in abundance. It's not me talking, it's what's fact. It's what's been happening. In return, this angry and delusional individual (getting angry with Apple fans ON AN APPLE FAN SITE) is smearing the forums with their credentials, challenging others to post theirs, while completely oblivious to the very real possibility that the person being challenged is more qualified, or better educated, or more worldly than they are.

Here's what we've been getting in return:

You live in a total fantasy world.

You fan boys are ridiculous.

Good job ignoring the obvious yet again.

Congrats all you Apple fanboys

You're something else. You have no idea how the world works.

You obviously have not been in the real world. Do you have any enterprise or real world work experience

Enough Whining already.

Sheesh guys, it's not like this is becoming a M$ fanboy site or some garbage... I mean really, are there even M$ fanboys at all? I've NEVER known ANYONE who gives as much of a crap about what they do as us Mac users give a crap about Apple.

These rumors and news articles are posted here so we can see what's ahead from the COMPETITION. Just like back in the PPC days stories would be posted about Intel's upcoming lineups. This allows us to witness how Apple deals with the competition, and often pre-emptively shuts 'em down but good. In this case, it appears that the "competition" is once again LAUGHABLE, and Apple isn't going to have to do JACK to compete. This to me is BAD news. The only real alternative to the iPhone is the Android phones, which are quite good, but don't offer enough competition or threat thereof to make Apple push the limits of the iPhone further. I for one was hoping for an equally or more badass phone from M$, but seriously, I wasn't expecting one given their track record.

Hopefully Windows 7 will light a proverbial fire under Apple for the next release.

and now japaneese carriers are looking at the iphone because their phones have all kinds of hardware features but the software and usability sucks.

VZ has had TV on a cell phone for years and a lot of people didn't care.

You can almost smell the freshly cut astroturf, no?

Um, yeah man - they're crawling all over this site and others (try the Engadget comments section - nothing but praise and high ranking for pro-Microsoft comments and low ranking and abuse for pro-Apple comments).

There are plenty of Microsoft fanboys out there - they've just never looked in a mirror.

Name one major innovation Apple has had in the past 3 years.

Don't say tablet because its not even real yet.

I am not a M$ fanboy. Use a Mac daily. I am just not a cultist Mac follower who is blinded by the Apple Aura or Steve Jobs eloquent speeches.
