I think someone did a chat and confirmed it's 21 days that they hold the device for you before they get sent back and refund you the money.Thought it was 21 but 14 is also ok

11/3 Pickup 8-8:30 window
First time doing in store pickup. Usually get it delivered, but recently moved and forgot to update my account address (they’ll only deliver it to the address on account). Can anyone who’s done in store pickup in the past tell me how long the process usually takes? Do they just ring you up and away you go? Or do they have to verify a bunch of stuff in the system and activate the phone for you? I also have an appointment from 8:30-9 to pick up my wife’s phone. Hopefully they’ll let me just do both at the same time?
Anybody do Apple Pay for ATT upgrade for instore pickup? I have not seen any hold or pending or any charges for my order at all!

It’s very easy, you don’t have to go early. Get there at 8. They bring the phone out, activate it and ur on ur way! 15 min! They will also do ur wife’s too. Unless you get a crappy rep!
I did in store pickup for my daughter's 7 and they weren't in demand at the time and in stock so we were in and out pretty quick. You will get an email that tells you what you need to bring. Definitely ID and the CC used. I do believe they got us going with setup but we left once the backup started to restore. I too am hoping to just grab the phone and get out of dodge. I really don't need their help. I just want to get home and play with it. I technically have a trade-in as part of the IUP, but I am not going to trade it in. Going to pay it off myself and sell it, so I don't have to go through that process either.Carrier: AT&T

It makes sense because Apple.com gives you 21 day return period (I know this because when I purchased an iPad Pro 10.5" online for in store pick up, it gave me 3 weeks from that date). Unlike products bought directly from apple store, they give you 14 days.
Thanks for the info! Do I have to bring our old phones in during pickup? I’ll have mine with me, but don’t want to take the wife’s if I don’t have to.
