Ya I think a change in ur order will put you farther back in line..
I didn’t change the order. The 11/3 pickup was successful but Apple gave me a “reservation” number. I clicked on that reservation from my email and voila, instantly screwed me over by removing my pickup of 11/3 and moved me back to 11/17-24. Again, FRAUDULENT.

Aw man. That sucks.

Was it today? Or yesterday right after preorder?
3:10 am my order was placed... the email that screwed me over didn’t come in until 1:52pm

Carrier: Unlocked (UK)
Payment: Paid In-Full
Order Status: Processing Items
Card Charged: No

I was in Greece on Friday but managed to get the order in 25 minutes after preorders went live. Deliveries had already slipped a bit but I got real lucky that one of my local stores showed available for pickup 3rd November! So I have a 64GB Space Gray X to be collected at 17:00 on Friday 3rd November! I am on the iUP but this is a standalone order. Will they be able to convert this into an upgrade in store and start a new credit agreement? If not then I will just pay off my iUP and sell/trade in my old iPhone.

I’m not understanding. You went from instore pickup on 11/3 to shipping between 11/17-24? Something isn’t sounding right

So I chatted Apple support because my pick up time is so later on in the day (Wasn't thinking when I chose the time) and apparently if you go early or later you will have to wait in line with the people who don't have confirmed orders, so basically the campers, if you want the device earlier. My question is since my order is confirmed how do they differentiate between me and lets say someone camping for it? Makes no sense to me.

Because they already have a device reserved for you. The other line is for people trying to get one that don’t have one reserved. So they have reserved stock and walk in (non reserved) stock. If all the walk in stock is gone and a rep is able to help you I’m sure they will help you earlier than ur time..

Has this been answered yet? I'm not on IUP but would want to signup (I'm on T-Mobile so have to do it F2F). My pick up time for a standalone order is on Nov 3. Am I able to just tell them to get me into IUP?

I read somewhere how people did this last year without any issues. Apple was actually happy to get them into IUP.

I was told on Apple chat, that as soon as i receive an email confirming my phone has arrived in the store, i can collect my phone, irrespective of if it's 4 hours before my time, or 30 mins.

If they have an available rep maybe. But why would they even have times if a 5:30 time can go in with the 8am times...

No. You can go pick it up when an employee has taken your device aside and labeled it with your identifying sticker. Not when the product is physically wheeled into the store by UPS.

I mean, as soon as you get an email from Apple, you can go in and collect your phone. Pretty obvious I know, but it could be several hours before your pickup slot. That's what I was told anyway.

Ps. I have a pending transaction on my card of £1000 (£1 test plus the £999 phone price)

I would be surprised if made you wait in other line.

How long is that line going to last anyway. At certain point they will sell out and I assume people will leave.

Yea, you'd have thought so given the slim supply. My pickup slot is 13:30-14:00 so if i went at 11am, i am sure the line would have gone or nearly gone.

For those of us picking up in Apple stores, will we get shipping information or just a notification that our phones are available?

updated 5:55pm PST Oct 29 : My CC just got charged with tax of the phone! Store Pickup date is Nov 3. My payment is Apple Payment which is provided by Citizens One Loan. But the balance of my loan still is ZERO.

My 8am in store pickup was just charged. Still waiting on my 9am pickup to be charged.

Update: Both have been charged!

Yessssir just got the alert that my card was charged!!
I got notified too, except mine was that my CC provider declined it (as possibly fraudulent), so I have to call and get it cleared up. Apple says they will keep trying for 1 week and then cancel the order. Now to call...

Update: All cleared up and charge has hit my card for Friday pickup!
