In-Store Pickup Orders

Not yet for me yet... got the full authorization on Friday when I ordered, but nothing since. My two other orders (shipped, not for pickup) have already been charged and shipped.

I wouldn't worry about it... one thing AAPL is really good at - making sure they collect money. :)
 
Does the status by now really change? I thought aa long as the pick up did not take place nothing will change. Just the request for the payment came through.

Mine still hasnt changed from Order in progress, though my card was charged Sunday night. I dont think we have anything to worry about for in store pick ups.

I doubt u will ever see it change. Plus if it’s instore pickup then we don’t need to worry shipping. Just ur instore pickup time.

No, not saying it won’t or hasn’t. But I have never seen a shipping to store status ever happen. You will have ur phone in ur hand before u see a “ready to pickup”. Well I always get 8am and I have never seen one but later times might see one. But our status’s really doesn’t matter. Def not something you want to look at 10 times a day as it was shipped to ur house. Lol. I already know my phone is at my Apple store and I’m still in progress.

That won't happen. The next status after "Order In Progress" is "Ready For Pick Up" which should appear Thursday evening or early Friday morning.

Curious, how do you know this for sure? Or is that normal that a batch of iPhone Xs were shipped to each Apple Store a week before release day?

Lots of Apple stores have them already. They stated shipping these weeks ago. I went into my Apple store yesterday and they said they had them in the back under lock and key..

From what I've read it depends on the store and the length of the queue. By 3pm i'd assume all stock for sale will have gone, and they will only have already sold pickup phones left, so you should be good to go by then.

yeah lets see what happens. last year my appointment was like at 3pm and i was there by that time but i got free like 6pm coz of long line!

Last year was different though, the reserved phone is not the same as the purchased phone. With a reservation people still have to go through the who purchase and carrier back end stuff. With pick-up - they check your id and hand you the phone. It should be quicker!

I have a 1PM appointment, I plan to get there around 12:15 to try to get in early or at least a leg up on other 1PMers but I would be surprised if I am there past 2.

i mean i had opted for in store pickup. i bought it on IUP and just had to pick it up. it literally took me like 10 mins to come out of store but to go in it took me 3 hours!!
 
So apparently you CANT pickup ear yon the day if you have a late appointment time, you have to wait.. ffs they told me they could do it early so I cancelled work friday... grrrrr
