I might head up to Brandon tomorrow.
I'm in Sarasota, so I'm not real excited on heading up there on a whim... honestly I'm not sure what would be worse: going up hoping to get lucky, or calling ahead and finding out they have 2.
I honestly don't know what I'll do, I just keep expecting a substantial shipment to arrive, but I thought that yesterday too...
Dude, I'm Bradenton, am in the exact same quandary... If I call at nine and find out they have 2-3, that will basically mean "why the hell weren't you camped out here last night you sad moron".
If someone could just tell me within the next 7 days I will be able to walk into a store and buy one, I can take my chill pill. Otherwise all I will be concerned about is this company I love have released a product that matches pretty much my dream requirements for a notebook, but I won't be able to get it because I decided to wait to watch the keynote spoiler free, because I appreciate the product presentation and marketing skills of said company.. But even if I didn't, the only way I could get this product within a reasonable amount of time was immediately pay $3k within minutes of being allowed to and not having a chance to even read a hands on review.
Fair enough, you're rich and have time to spare.. You deserve priorities. But for those that are willing to buy this product in person, to do more than click the mouse a few times and actually drive out to a store.. Apple if you're listening, these are your real customers, your real fanbase, don't play around with them just because you can. I don't even bother considering other manufacturers and their products, but because of this recent nonsense I found out what a Samsung series 9 is.
I'm frankly getting tired of any game or product release that causes me to throw all my plans out the window, and make me line up.. We are consumers and this is a democracy, but it really feels like we're living in a communistic society lining up for a product. That 1984 apple ad is so ironic when you think about it, we have become the masses who can't think differently.
