Lucky. I was there yesterday at 10 because they said they had them in stock when I called, but I didn't get one.

Technically the had 2... One was supposed to be for display they told me, but it was not out when I was in there.

the one on harrison? tried giving them a call and they said they'd just give either the 200 discount or the gift card, but wouldn't give both.
what kind of proof do they ask to become eligible for the student discount?
Of the three Apple stores in my large major metro area, two stores were restocked this morning.
I was at the one nearest my home and several sales were transacted while I assisted a friend exchange his. We looked at three till one was found without the uneven color issue the displays have.
I got lucky, as mines fine. These are very nice machines.

but they don't ask for some .edu email or something? i had recently graduated but i still have my ID. Not sure if they're gonna accept.
Update: Another Best Buy I was on a waiting list at just called me saying they had it in stock and they will do BOTH the $200 off and the $150 gift card! Woo!

Yes, on Harrison. They hadn't heard of the GC but I showed the receipt someone else had posted and she tried it out and it worked. She didn't ask me for any ID - I also just graduated but I look college-age for sure.

Hey jhuang, if you have a scanner and don't mind posting a full image, please do so. And post a thread. Definitely would like to get a full proper pic by the time it becomes available here.
Like a full scan of the receipt. Trying a get a straight picture that's not all crooked and looks as legit as possible.
