Definitely, they will have way more than enough in stock by then. I would suspect that within the next 2 weeks most Apple Stores and retailers will have them in stock.

For those that preordered from best buy and recieved theirs, how long did it take to get your rmbp after you preordered it?
 
Just got a call from Apple Business. Was told it would "be a while" before they had them in stock and it was probably better if I ordered online.

Damn, I ordered my through the retail store (Apple Business) after they told me I would get it shipped Monday (today) and arrive Tuesday. But as of right now, my order is still processing. It makes me wonder if I really want to wait for 16GB or just get the "base" model. I don't really want to wait 3-4 weeks just to get one, because I want 16GB.

I'm calling BS on the B&H preorder. On the bottom of the comments for this article:

you can see they were saying they were getting them in this week (week of Jun 18th). They were saying this on June 12th.

I placed my order on the same day that I saw that comment, checked in with them on a ETA and suddenly its another 1-2 weeks.
 
If you are in Toronto the Future Shop website is showing them available at quite a few Mississauga and Toronto locations. Too far for me :(
 
Futureshop has some

I just got mine at future shop in montreal (canada). Their website has started to show which stores have availability, so for all those Canadians looking for it, give that a shot!
 
Got base model today at Apple Store in Kansas City. Employee told me I was lucky because they only had about four in today. No high end models at all.
 
I've called every store here in Houston. The one time they do have it, they can't hold it for me or let me purchase on the phone. So I drove all the way over there only to hear them say they just sold the last one 5 minutes ago.....

I got a base model at futureshop at yonge and dundas over lunch. I think they said they had one more, but it wasn't the base.

They match student discounts as well, but not the gift card.

This is for the model with the 16GB upgrade. I didn't see this last week. It may be possible that the stock models are shipping out this week. I wouldn't fault B&H, as it sounds like the supply from Apple has not been consistent. Even Apple stores (obviously) are having trouble getting computers in stock.

Either way, 1-2 weeks is faster than 3-4 weeks!

Dang it! I've been trying to get one in Houston as well. Which store was it? I've been calling all over and can't get one.

Umm, I think you didn't follow. I've already waited a week after being told its 1-2 weeks. So I'm on week 2 and now being told its an additional 1-2 weeks, so that makes it 3-4 weeks exactly.

I was told the next 'batch' coming was 1000 units and they already have orders for 2200+ units. So if you ordered late (which it sounds like you may have?) you aren't even in the running for the next shipment they get.

The discussion was over the upgraded models (as was in the rep's links)... As far as I know *no* retinas have made it to their store yet. Of course everyone has difficulties, but something went wrong with B&H and communication over when their first batch of retinas are coming in and what kind of configs can be expected.

'They' being the top of the line processor and ram models, and within the next week being from June 12th.

right now its silent mode from them as far as ETAs.

The base model + 16GB RAM upgrade popped up on the store this morning. If the thing ships next week, that's still in the 1-2 week estimate. Keep the faith :)
 
if one more canadian shop shows in stock while us stores and the whole ny metro region is empty, i'm going to go south park on canada!

It is the first time I've seen any stock for sale anywhere near Vancouver, though I haven't checked since Thursday.

Vancouver is a Mac oriented town. You'd think Apple was the market leader with PCs getting about 10 or 15%. And this is our first stock in any store! You guys have gone through some stock already. [ head bobble, head bobble ]

Galleria was the only one that ever said they had it. They say shipments come throughout the week from Monday-Saturday. The times are random and they only get a couple in at a time. I think the best bet to get one is be there right when they open to buy it. :(

Yeah, I've been calling both the Galleria and Highland Village multiple times a day since Thursday and they never have any. I feel like its the iPad 2 launch all over again.

i believe this is their second batch. the store i got it from only received 1 base model.
