My "new" G5 died. Looks like the DRAM controller needs re-flowed. But at the junk market, I picked up an iMac G5!!!

Looks like I'm back in the race!

This sounds like fun, but my 12" G4 is pretty much useless for what I typically do so I'm gonna pass. Most of the sites I visit regularly are way too taxing on the poor old thing and streaming videos from my Plex server doesn't work.

If you want some tips on speeding it up, we're happy to help. One mistake a lot of people make is using TenFourFox, and untweaked... if you're on Leopard, the best speed option is LWK. TFF does offer more customization however.

    SMH!

    We've been over this…multiple times. :D

    Speed is not everything.

That's why I mentioned that TFF offers more customization. :)

Also, the user is complaining about the speed, so I'm telling him the fastest option. :D

That's not really gonna help much for YouTube, Tumblr or streaming videos off of Plex though.

Oh yeah, SMtube or @Dronecatcher's YT scripts for YT. You're probably right, those other 2 can't be done easily.

I don't know, with latest version of Leopard WebKit I can watch YouTube videos, Facebook videos, and many other sites' video streamings just fine.

I've been using Demeter on my Quad to watch Youtube videos.

    But then again, it's a Quad so…

Found a Limit for my PPC. My work has a 802.11AC Inter-Access Point Protocol Wireless network. My PowerBook will not even connect to out network due to the wireless card being so old.....

I have Plex working fine on my PowerBook as long as the video is low enough resolution (576p works fine).

Strange... my iBook G4 connects to every network I've ever needed it to, including 802.11AC networks. Is the software up-to-date? Also if you're running Tiger you could try updating to Leopard.

I have Leopard on it. The issue is we have a N and AC only network with enterprise grade access points.

With my recent acquisition of a Power Mac G5 I would say I am officially in! I fully intend to write throughout the week on my blog which I should probably get started working on. I can't wait, this should be a great time!

As I have simply been a lurker until recently I can't add my name to the list, @Gamer9430 could you kindly add me please?

Added you to the list, as well as @benbranca. :) Can you link to your blog so I can read the posts when it's time.
