Finally got MicroXP to work for my purpose with LancomAdvVPNClint and RDP-Client 7.0 (for SP3). Works really snappy and responsive!
Found the RDP-Client 7 for WinXP-SP3 here: http://www-pc.uni-regensburg.de/systemsw/tools/systools.htm.

Here's an overview (tested on 12" Powerbook-G4 1.5GHz, 1.25GB RAM, mSATA):

WinFLP (Fundamentals)
---------------------------------
SP2
RDP-Client: 6.x (works up to WinServer2008)
Footprint: 1,44 GB
VPC7:time from wake-up to established VPN connection to WinServer2008 = 65sec

MicroXP
---------------------------------
SP3
RDP-Client: 7.0 (works with WinServer2008SP2)
Footprint: 460MB
VPC7:time from wake-up to established VPN connection to WinServer2008 = 35sec

The 2 downloads I first found for MicroXP both had Malware inside them, this one doesn't FYI

This sounds like fun, but my 12" G4 is pretty much useless for what I typically do so I'm gonna pass. Most of the sites I visit regularly are way too taxing on the poor old thing and streaming videos from my Plex server doesn't work.

If you want some tips on speeding it up, we're happy to help. One mistake a lot of people make is using TenFourFox, and untweaked... if you're on Leopard, the best speed option is LWK. TFF does offer more customization however.

That's not really gonna help much for YouTube, Tumblr or streaming videos off of Plex though.

Found a Limit for my PPC. My work has a 802.11AC Inter-Access Point Protocol Wireless network. My PowerBook will not even connect to out network due to the wireless card being so old.....

Strange... my iBook G4 connects to every network I've ever needed it to, including 802.11AC networks. Is the software up-to-date? Also if you're running Tiger you could try updating to Leopard.

With my recent acquisition of a Power Mac G5 I would say I am officially in! I fully intend to write throughout the week on my blog which I should probably get started working on. I can't wait, this should be a great time!

As I have simply been a lurker until recently I can't add my name to the list, @Gamer9430 could you kindly add me please?

Added you to the list, as well as @benbranca. :) Can you link to your blog so I can read the posts when it's time.
