I noticed that the flash ring wasn't glossy on the new one. The ring on my first case had some gloss to it so it was reflecting the flash creating the blue haze that everyone hates.

Yeah mine is glossy inside the ring.

How would that person get fired? A buddy of mine use to work @Best Buy and he use to get stuff for me without an issue.

At most stores the employee discount is for personal, immediate family, and bonafide gifts only. Buying something with your discount then selling it for cheap is a terminateable violation of company policy.

Well what he was doing was against the rules. But if he got away with it, more power to him.

I picked up a black Incase Slider @ my local Best Buy today. I love it, the feel of it is similar to the 3GS slider case, but maybe even a bit more smooth? Maybe it feels that way because the phone is now flat and not rounded, so it seems more slippery? It's almost too slippery in my hand but I love how it's more squared than the default Apple bumper and it protects a lot better but still maintains the sleekness of the phone. I really like it. It's now my favorite over the bumper and the NGP case from Incipio.

They didn't have it at the BB by me so I couldn't do a test fit. I have noticed in the past though that some sliders were really really tight fitting and others were loose.

I picked up a couple incase (black) slider cases and while it's a nice case, fits very tight and does a great job covering the phone I'm still not sure I like it?

The iPhone feels different than the older 3GS did with a case in hand. It almost makes it feel to wide or bulky. IDK? Maybe I'm just used to going naked with it since that is what I've been doing since my purchase. Great case tho, but I think i'm starting to change my mind about cases and like it better w/nothing on it.

The Flash Ring is a nice touch, they did an outstanding job on that idea.

does anyone feel like the slider case makes the phone look like a huge brick? the phone was squared before but now with the case it looks so much more square :(

I really like that about it. It makes it feel so much more sturdy. Now it doesn't feel like it's gonna shatter just from sliding into my pocket.

I've been using this case most of the day now, at work, and at home, and I must say: I love it. By far the best case I've used for the iPhone 4 so far.

Although, I purchased it with a Best Buy gift certificate and for $35 ($37 and change with tax) it is very highly overpriced for what it is and what it comes with. $19.99 is fair - if I hadn't had the gift card, I wouldn't drop $35 for a case with no screen protectors, cloths, or any extras besides a little plastic 'stand.'

Although the plus (and I'm guessing what they want you to think you're paying for?) is the flash ring. It's just a wide cutout with no light-absorbing or altering effects. I took several shots in complete darkness and they came out looking fine. No haze, no blue, no washed-out colors. Definitely a plus but still a very overpriced piece of plastic.

Has anyone tried the slider case with a PS front and back protector? I understand the front needs to be aligned; however, the back protector will create more girth regardless.

Does not work with the PS front shield. Check my video from the link in my sig. :(

that's a bummer because i really wanted the slider case. however, i need my PS or any front and back film protector. hopefully, the incase snap case will fit perfectly and not create similar problems.

Just got my slider today from bb. Had to take my is shield off since it stared to bubble and pull up on the corners. Common problem as it happened with my 3GS. But the case IMO is one of the best all around. I may try to cut down the shield.

A friend of mine picked this case up for me yesterday from BB and I must say that this is definitely one of the better cases for the iPhone 4. Feels good in your hand and looks good as well. I'm definitely satisfied.

Slider delivered today. Overall I'm very pleased. Fits fine over my SGP oleo front and Zagg IS back protectors with only barely noticeable bubbling in a couple places. Only thing that kinda bothers me is that the texture seems more slippery than I expected.

After using it for a few days, the only problem I have with my slider is that dust builds up under the lip on the edges of the front glass.

Have you tried to remove the case since? I had to rip off the case and it ruined the shield when I had that combo on my 3gs..

I left the back plastic piece that came with the ip4 on and had my zagg on the front and tried as soon as I got it, and it wouldn't budge. I then took off the back, and still gave me problems so I took off the zagg as well.

If mine fits too tight I'm going to try shaving that down. I wouldn't completely remove it though in case it fit too loose after.

Have you tried yet? I was thinking the same thing! LMK how it worked!

I've been looking for these at several of my local best buys and no luck. I've even called several more stores but they never answer their phones and if they do I'm put on hold for several minutes only to be transferred to home theater department for some reason. Anybody see them in stock anywhere near Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank or Duarte Areas. Let me know please.

It is somewhat hard to get off, but I think only because the IS is kinda soft so the rubber support of the case kinda sticks to it. The IS is still in good shape though. I'm going to try to avoid removing the case too much. I think it would be best to smooth down the rubber support though to fit with screen protectors, but I don't know if I will.
