It is somewhat hard to get off, but I think only because the IS is kinda soft so the rubber support of the case kinda sticks to it. The IS is still in good shape though. I'm going to try to avoid removing the case too much. I think it would be best to smooth down the rubber support though to fit with screen protectors, but I don't know if I will.

So I'm not the only one worried about removing this case to clean the phone? I work in an office at a custom cabinet company and I did get a lot of fine sawdust collected in some areas of my previous slider cases. Hopefully it won't be an issue to remove this case once a week for a good clean.

Can anyone who's picked up the slider comment on the thickness? I've found most of the iphone4 cases out thus far are a tad bit thick for my tastes (Incipio, Griffin, Belkin). I had the slider for the 3G so I know how thick that was. Is it the same, more, or less?

I can measure it at work tomorrow with calipers if you want, and I can bring my 3G slider to compare. ;)

Just got mine today. I can't recommend this enough!

Fit: It's a great fit. Very tight when sliding onto the phone but I'd rather that than a loose slider.

Feel: Smooth, slippery compared to old sliders. It adds some bulk but it's not enough to complain about it being too thick.

Regards to screenshields working, it fit perfectly with my SGP oleo. Went on slowly and the protector didn't come up once. I also highly recommend the SGP oleo.

Overall, well worth the wait for this case. Can't wait for the product to get all of the different colors.

After having the Candyshell speck batwing black and an iFrogz case, I can easily say this is my favorite case. I also had the 3G version of this case and that too was my favorite case out of about ten 3G cases. I love the smoothness but it still has just the right amount of grip (IMO). I also don't think it adds any considerable or even noticeable bulk to the phone.

I received my Slider yesterday.

As I sort of expected it caused my SGP Anti-Fingerprint screen shield to lift up. This is to be expected with some Slider style cases but the SGP usually wasn't a problem with the 3G version of the Incase Slider. It seems, from the reviews and videos I've seen so far, that the Incase 4 Slider is causing 99% of shields to bubble up. Not good.

Basically I can only recommend this case if you don't use a screen shield and I think I'll be sending mine back. :(

Respectfully, I seriously doubt 99% are having the issue, I don't, I read several other posts which say they don't either, and as is usually the case, people post complaints way more often than, hey, my protector/case works.

I also bet at least some of the issues can be attributed to a less than perfect alignment of the SP.

My slider fits perfectly with my oleo protector on.

Very possible.

I think it surely does have something to do with the way the shields get applied. But that might be the problem. The tolerance is so small that unless the shield is installed absolutely perfect bubbles result. It's not easy to line up a shield that precise every time. Can it be done? Sure. But most people out there probably aren't getting those results. Perhaps if these slider style cases allowed for more of a tolerance when it comes to the position of the shields this wouldn't be an issue.

I remember this issue being reported a lot with the slider even for the 3GS. Sometimes if my screen protector was not lined up just so, I would get the bubbles. Always though I could go back and get it to line up well. Hopefully I can do the same for my iPhone4. Will know soon enough as I get my slider in the mail today finally. I guess it is just a question of whether or not people are willing to take the time and effort to line up the screen protector perfectly or not. It can be done though.

Welp, I bought the Incase slider on Sunday so I've had it for like 2 days.

Absolutely the BEST case for the iPhone 4 right now. Why? It's not overly bulky. I'm talking about it not being a brick like the Otterbox & Candyshell cases. It's not thin either but it's a perfect balance because this case would protect perfectly from falls--especially since this iPhone 4 is all glass.

The soft touch on this case is heavenly. Almost feels like velvet and it's actually SOFTER than the previous sliders. Not as big of a fingerprint magnet as the old one too.

Flash works perfectly. Ports light up perfectly, no flash pieces inside the case at all. Good build quality compared to a lot of cases in the same price range.

Honestly, this case is the best balanced case all around. The *ONLY* gripe I have with it is pushing the buttons requires slightly more work than the previous slider but that's because the 3G/3GS was rounded and wider.

Awesome, awesome case.

I did it too with my 3GS. However, the other concern (mentioned by many) is will it fit with a front and back protector? It seems like no because you can't avoid the extra room the back protector will impose unlike the front.

I received my slider case yesterday and I guess I'm done looking for cases now. I like it well enough that I canceled my Seidio order. It really fits well and feels great in hand. Has a good grip but its no lint catcher. Since I don't use a screen saver, this seems like a perfect case. Not all that exciting to look at but it works really well. I had the gun metal slider on my 3gs and really liked it.

Maybe I can wean myself from this forum now. Then again, maybe not.

But does the Incase slider really protect enough from a fall? From the videos Ive seen it seems like its all plastic, and not a very thick one which sure is good for not adding bulk but not great for the protection? Im still thinking about getting the Marware Sportgrip since it seems to add better protection (since its all silicone?) while not being bulkier vs. Incase Slider.

Thoughts?

Slider sure does look awesome though!

Not sure what's going on with me, but in the 3 or so days I've had the case, I've dropped my phone 3 times. Not only is the phone fine, the case hasn't gotten a scratch or ding either. Twice, it was dropped on ceramic tile, once on hardwood.

My 3GS saw it's share of spills, it was in the same model slider, the case protected it every time, and that case never cracked.

I think they offer more protection than you might think, Otterbox-like, no, but a good amount in a much sleeker, easier package. They're not fancy or impressive looking, but they have a sleekness and feeling of quality I don't find in most other cases. Like Apple, they just work. :)

I have had this case for 2 days and it is great ! Does anyone know what screen protector works best with the Incase Slider ? Thanks

Just got my Incase snap clear today. I like it. Very clear so I can still see the phones design. It comes with a stand which is nice. Though I am going to keep using my iPod sock and keep the phone naked otherwise. Only put it in the case if I am in places where it might get damaged.

After using the case for a day I love it, but I'm returning it after work today. A friend of mine picked it up for me, but I do not believe that this case warrants $38 and some change after text especially when I have a Speck GeoMetric & a Speck Pixelskin HD at home. If I happen to see the red Otterbox @ Best Buy when I return my Incase then that may cause for an exchange :D

Assming you think it's worth $15 or so, that extra $20 isn't worth paying to have a case you say you love?

I have tried a lot of cases for all versions of the iPhone, I still think the soft touch slider is the best overall case, and which not cheap at $35, it's worth it to me.

Glad to hear that! Im really looking forward to try the Slider, problem is I dont see any Swedish retailers having at even as pre-order yet, sigh.
Anyone tried this with BSE back & front?

I just received my Incase slider today. Overall I really like it. However, there seems to be some play between the case and the phone on the left side (the side with the buttons.) When I squeeze the phone between my fingers, there is a noticeable snap on that side. I took the phone out of the case and it looks like the groove is cut differently on the left side than the right. Is this normal or do I have a defective case?

Picked up the Incase slider case from Best Buy today. Didn't work with the SGP Eleo, it bubbles up the sides.
