I got this from Walmart but it is going back. Just wasn't enough protection for me. I ended up getting an Otterbox instead.

I think it is a great case I just wanted a little bit more.

I agree the NGP is too bulky, mainly in its thickness. Compared to the Apple Bumper, its a good 2 or 3 mm thicker. Feels thick like my old 3G or a Blackberry. Width and length seems the same as the Bumper...but maybe a tat larger in both dimensions.

Reading all these great reviews, I purchased the last one that Walmart had today. I wanted something to add to my collection of black bumper and Sena Ultra thin pouch (for when I go naked). Within 2 minutes, I was sorry I spent $20 on this thing.

Obviously many here like it. But to balance out the comments, I'd give it an 'okay' and probably it is more for the user who drops phones a lot. However, the official Apple Bumper is the nicest...and if you add screens to the back and front, it is well protected.

Some points on the NGP:

1. Goes on easily...but a pain to take off. Not for me since I change cases sometimes.

2. The non stick surface is a little slippery...I like the rubber of the bumper better.

3. It does not seem to affect flash photos...that's good. They made the lens/flash opening larger enough...but it takes away from the look.

4. The smoke finish, while nice, takes away from the slick back of the phone. It fogs out the crisp apple logo and jet black finish

5. Feels thick in the hand, and just doesn't give a 'pro' look. My wife has a $9 case from the mall kiosk that looks the same, but fits better in the hand and looks better too. I like the boxy look of both.

So my NGP goes in the drawer...and I'm back to the black Apple bumper and brown Sena. The Apple bumper is well engineered and performs well, not only for 'antennagate'.

So I changed mind about this case! The reasons I listed earlier don't seem to be a problem for me anymore.

Perhaps dropping my naked phone from 5 feet and getting minor damage in the band corner made me rethink the need for a working everyday protection case.

My apple bumper (old) one has docking issues. The NGP does not. Works well with PS screens front/back too.

Like the smoke. Feels good. Not fingerprint magnet.

Can get in amazon or direct now. Have Att model.

I still change cases to fit the day. But this one looks good

I have had this case for seven months and can highly recommend it. No sagging and still a nice tight fit. Incipio customer service were excellent and replaced a not so tight version prior to this one and threw in a few extra few screen protectors. Supplied screen protector is excellent as well. No bubbles, separate cutouts for camera and earpiece, no wear and still looks good.

I had this case. But beware, it's great and all but it will scratch the crap out of the sides of your phone unless you take it off and clean it every single day.

Also, even tho they say it fits the vzw iPhone 4, there is one slight problem. The mute switch is down too far and it rubs up against the side of the cutout. Aesthetically it doesn't look right. Functionally, the switch still works.

That problem is not unique to the NGP case : any slip on, slider, bumper has this potential problem. Dirt getting between the case and phone and 'sandpapering' the phone.

Daily cleaning is excessive if you normally use your phone and keep it in your pocket.

It's unique to the NGP case I had on mine. Have used 2 other cases, no such problem.

I have a few minor scratches on the antenna too and I keep mine in my pocket (in a sunglasses soft bag with the NGP and screen protector fitted). Admittedly I did not clean in out within the first two months of fitting but since then I take it off about once a fortnight for cleaning and have not had any further scratches.

Everyone has seen this problem with the Apple Bumper, with the InCase slider (on my 3GS) and the Seido slip on cases as well, for example. So too with the cheaper mall cases that fit like the NGP. Just a fact of life that abrasive dust will work its way between the case and phone.

At least with the NGP translucent case, you may have a chance to see the dust.

I occasionally go naked with my phone, so it is self cleaning in that regard. One thing I see better about the NGP is it's tight fit, compared to the Bumper...so little movement to cause that dirt to sandpaper.

I saw this case a couple weeks ago at my local Walmart. Looks pretty good, might pick it up down the road. Thanks for the review!

I'm looking into picking this one up too. How's the grip on it? Decent?

I'm currently using the Case-Mate Pop Case in white which I like a lot. I'm spending too much damn money on cases lol..

Grip is awesome as my Mrs has not dropped my phone once in the seven months of ownership. Also it slides into your pockets nicely (does not stick like silicone cases) and holds up well to marks and scratches.

Just picked this case up today in the same color from Wal-Mart for about $20. I've tried the Case-Mate Pop, Speck PixelSkinHD, CaseCrown Metallic Glider, and the Incipio Sycrilic. It's only been on my phone for about 20 minutes and I already like it better than all those cases that I just listed.

It's just the little things about this case that make me like it more than others.

The buttons on this case are VERY responsive and very tactile, something that I didn't like about my pixelskin HD. The buttons on my pixelskin were very stiff and sort of difficult to press.

This case does NOT get stuck in your pocket at all, but has a nice feel to it when you hold it. This was a problem with my CaseMate Pop because of the grippy rubber sides it has. It got stuck in my pocket big time and usually ended up pulling the inside of my pocket out when I took out my phone. Really annoying.

Overall this is a really good case. Doesn't add any bulk to the phone, cool color, good fit (not too tight and not too loose). Can't beat it for $20

Also forgot to mention this case seems to be for AT&T only (at least the ones in the Walmart store) so the mute button on the side will be touching the lower end of the cut out if you have the Verizon iPhone. Not a big deal for me since its still easily accessible, but just thought i'd throw it out there

I've been using an incipio feather case the past year and decided to finally make a change. I bought this case a while ago but never used it. What I love about this case:

- Lay on table design
- Very responsive volume and sleep button, feels soo much better than pressing the actual buttons
- Snug fit all around, no loose lips around the edges
- Smoke color shows off the back and sides of the phone
- Cover doesn't collect dust or lint
- Seems to have nice drop protection all around

Only negative is it's much thicker than my feather case, but then again, my feather case didn't have a lot of the things mentioned above.

I just picked one up at my local walmart yesterday and the fit is very good for my Verizon iPhones vibrate switch. Please excuse the dust particles on my screen. :p

Wonder what's going on here. My toggle switch is not centered in the cutout. It rests against the side of the cutout. Did they change the design?

Yes, but if you look at post 242, verizon iPhone and the toggle is centered.

Ah, sorry about that, I completely oversaw the post. Incipio's website listed that the single model number 'Sku: IPH-527' should be compatible for both AT&T/Verizon. Maybe you have an previous or different version. Do you have the same SKU?

On another note, if anyone is using this case with the white iPhone, can you please provide a picture? Thanks!

I just chatted with incipio cs and they told me the toggle switch on the vzw iphone would not be centered. Something funny goin on.

My son has a white Verizon iPhone 4, I will toss my case on it and post a pic when he gets home. :)

I was a little shocked that it fits as it does, I asked the wally cashier to open the package up to make sure my phone would fit and was told that store policy wouldn't allow him to...then in the same breath he said "but we can't stop you from doing it" lol...I told him that's ok, I'll just buy it and if it doesn't fit I will simply return it. I opened the package on the way to my car in the parking lot, slipped it on and history was written! it's not 100% centered...more like 98% if you're a perfectionist like me.. ;)

That's odd. Oh well, not really a big deal for me because I can access it just fine.

ALSO, for anyone who has this case....do you have branding (almost like a serial number) towards the bottom right of this case? it's on the inside part of the case but obviously shows through a little bit. Not really a big deal but I have yet to see it in anyones pictures...

The model number on the one I bought is IPH-532. But I think it is different because of the color. Mine is a Matte Translucent Mercury Gray.
