Installed: Speck CandyShell for iPhone 4

Just got an email from Speck customer service. They will Fed Ex the Pixelskin tomorrow but they need 2-3 weeks for the candy shell to be ready. They will then ship that to me. Nice deal. Very pleased
here is the actual email:
"We will ship the Pixel skin out Tuesday from here via FedEx 2nd day and will provide a trk#.
The Candyshells will be delayed a little longer, more like 2-3 weeks. When the CandyShells come into stock we will mail that out ASAP!
Thank you"

I got the same email too, well in the mean time i will just keep using my candy shell black while waiting for the replacement, I don't use camera flash that often anyway. Love that case so far, zero issue just like my old one

Return to ATT and just wait for new ones? They had about 8 Candyshells tonight and now all sold out. 4 Black, 2 Purple, 1 cotton candy, 1 dark pink? I didn't see any of these except for black. No interest in the other colors anyway...
IMetalG5, go to Speck homepage and click on support and write them a email with the description of your flash issue, they usually reply within 24 hours. They didn't tell me to send them my defective unit yet, so i guess i will keep using it while waiting for my new replacement. And At&t has 30 days return policy too, so u don't have to worry about to return it. This is so far the best case for iPhone at is moment.
did you have to request that they send you a Pixelskin? I got an email but there was no mention for a substitue case until the new version comes out.
This explains why nobody has CandyShells now. I hate to go without a case for 2 weeks waiting on the update. I may contact them and ask if I can get a Pixelskin too! Sounds like they have great customer service and reinforces that this is the case I want. I just ordered one for my iPad yesterday.
Ahh crap, I just got a Candyshell to go along with my bumper back and forth. Didn't open it yet but now I'm reading there is a flash issue?
Probably still use this for the when I need extra protection, but would like a problem free version.
Before I open it can someone who has the problem take a pic of the back of their case so I can compare the openings?

yes there is a flash issue. so don't expect to take clear quality pics with the Candyshell on.
No they did not offer me a substitue case. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. But I honestly do feel out of all cases out right now, Candyshell is #1 (minus the Flash issue). I can't wait for the "corrected version" to come out. They said they would ship me one when they are available in about 12 days.
As the month goes by more and more cases will be available.

So I can keep this case, get a replacement and just have crappy Flash pics in the meantime?

We apologize for the design flaw in the CandyShell cases. Our development team realized this issue as soon as they got an actual iPhone 4 to test the cases with (same day as the general public, June 23/24th!). They’ve quickly made a running change in production, and will have replacement CandyShell cases ready for you in 9-11 days.
When a new device comes out, we often do not get to test our cases on the actual phone until it is available to the public, so issues like this unfortunately do happen in the fast-paced world of Apple accessories. We would like to sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, and would like to also assure you that we’re working as fast as we can to fix it.
Please let me know what you’d like to do for your replacement they will be shipping to you in 2-3 weeks. Please attach your receipt too so we can see quantity and color!

I have the BatWing Black candyshell and I did the Sharpie trick but haven't had a chance to test it yet. I think they customer service is top notch! (Much like their candyshell !!!)
(I am trying to get them to send me a PaleMoon Gray as the replacement color even if I have to wait a little longer, because that is the one I really want).

They responded to me that they need proof of purchase before sending out PixelSkin. They are responding fast. Shows they are a good company that stands behind their products!
I didn't get offered a PixelSkin! It's cool though (may email them just to see if they are offering that to anyone), I have this and the bumper. I just sent him a photo of my case, the packaging and a piece of paper with my name on it. He said that was sufficient.

Exactly the type of company we wish some other were.
I really do like the candyshells but every one iv'e ever gotten the bottom piece snapped in half. I know some poeple say it's more firm or w/e but it looks just as easily broke lol.
