Just got off the phone with 133 MAC(622), im not happy...... They were actually quite rude, and i wasn't even rude, i was just explaining myself, ridiculous, i have lost a lot of respect for Apple today. Never again.
They didn't offer anything to help, even when i asked (like you did) she basically just wanted to hang up ASAP. Unbelievable.

You should give them a call back and ask to speak to the manager. You should be treated fairly and not spoken to rudely by employees. If that had been me, I would be on the phone to the ACCC in seconds about misleading advertising. I don't know how many people noticed, but the AU website did originally state that the iPhone would be delivered by the 14th. And I think if more of us realised that it wouldn't be delivered by today, they would not have purchased it through the Apple Online Store. I see you ordered the same model as me, the best one =] (Based on HDD capacity). You've just given them a grand of your money, you do not have the right to be treated rudely. I am still yet to see what they offer me as reimbursement when my shipment goes through. But I will definitely be persistent about it, because I feel cheated. The customer is always right. I mean there is always Today Tonight to go to hahaha.
Just got off the phone for the second time, this time i talked to a bloke and he was really helpful in saying that they appreciate the feedback we are giving them. I think its just really important to not be angry at the person you are talking to because its got nothing to do with them. He said he would go through and make sure everything is up to date with the tracking information and also that i would receive a $50 voucher via email to use on the AU Apple online store. He also said that we should start seeing the phones turning up on Monday and that they should leave Hong Kong by tonight.
I can wait a few more days, an i think its good they are offering the vouchers to people as-well.

Was it an awkward conversation at all? And did you have to specifically ask for compensation, or was it just offered? How long were you on the phone? Also, is it 133 622?
So many questions! Thanks for the help. I suppose if there is $50 in it, I may as well try and make the call...?
Nope, not awkward. He said i would be receiving it, i didn't ask (although i would have if he didn't) i was probably on the phone for about 10min. And yes 133 622, just let it go to reception and ask about iPhone 4S orders when reception asks, then tell the person you get onto your order number.
i just "enquired", rather than complained, and so... no $50. haha. whoops...
It's not so much about complaining but rather just letting them know that people who preorder expect to receive their devices day 1, that's the message we need to get through to Apple via feedback.
Whether you score $50 or not really isn't that important in the grand scheme of things but I'm sure it would be nice on a personal level.![]()

perhaps i will grow some balls and call back later, if i can be bothered. with $50 i could order a lovely new case to protect my expensive phone *cases are so overpriced!!
You could try to get them to compensate you with a free bumper or case!
i will work up the courage to call again and be a *little* bit more "disappointed" in them.

Here's the line for you "Apple is all about the total customer experience and really I've found this experience this time very disappointing so far"?
If you want to sound Canadian you can start it off with "I'm sorry but" ( everyone always makes fun of us because we apologize all the time).
Its 4:11pm 14th October & I spoke to Apple Customer Service. I was polite but firm with my disappointment in not getting the iPhone 4S when it did state that if you per order it WILL be delivered by 14th. The lady understood my situation & commented that I was not alone in Australia. I was offered the $50 iTunes credit via email but I responded that that I wasn't ringing up for hand outs. I was ringing to voice my disappointment in that the purpose of ore order was that I would get it on launch day without the hassle of going to telcos or standing in line for hours (which I did for 12hrs for the iPhone 4). I also mentioned that this has put a bad taste in my mouth with Apple preorder process where everyone who was in the first round of countries getting it first, should get it at the same time.
Come on Apple you could of handled this much better for your loyal Aussie customers!.
