How many of you are still on Preparing for Shipping? I called up this morning and they told me that it would ship today and my status should change soon. Does anyone know what time their call centres close?

I hope they're going to ship the remaining shipments to Canada soon! my goodness...
Handouts are nice. But I honestly would have preferred to have had it delivered 'on time' today, rather than wait basically another week. I will be calling the Apple store next time to ask about the shipping before ordering from them. I can't believe I didn't do that! I did it with all my other orders I made in previous years.
Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile) just delivered mine (8.23 am) but activation servers are down. Considering that the biggest launch countries aren't even full up to speed yet at this early time in the morning, this is pretty appalling.
My own fault however to think this would work better than any of the previous launches. Time to rethink the launch philosophy to not have everyone rush at the same time xD

Just spoke to someone from Apple and she said it looks like wednesday will be when it arrives. She didn't offer me anything and i didn't ask. She was polite and said she had had thousands of calls about this already and i asked why retail stores get it before we do and she said she understood it was done different ways or something. Well i guess all i can do now is wait. Again.

Mine say exactly the same, apart for 16GB. I have been trying to track it through UPS or TNT with no success. All we can do is wait patiently. I'm sure its on the way

Well, aussies haven't posted back. They must be enjoying it right now. What time is it there now? 6-7PM?
What time is it there now? 6-7PM?So did it come by some other courier or via 'Syncreon' whose tracking system is about 12 hours behind actual events!
After calling and expressing my disappointment, motivated partly by the chance at receiving a discount (Apple are rich if they are willing to give me $50, I'm not going to stop them!), I spoke to a rep who told me that she would personally track my shipment, and be calling me after she saw that it was delivered in order to arrange some sort of compensation. I can't remember the exact wording, but it was along those lines.
She assured me that my phone would reach me by Wednesday however, which is probably a generous estimate anyway. I am really expecting Monday, in accordance with the TNT transit times calculator.

7PM, our pre-orders won't reach us until around monday-thursday next week. Disappointing.

Yeah - Australian preorders didn't arrive for launch day. Pretty disappointing, considering every other launch they have done worked this way. I was one of the unlucky ones. I will be receiving mine sometime next week.
Mine is on the same flight, but sorry to say that even though it will get into Sydney overnight, TNT will not get it until Monday at the earliest as customs do not work over the weekend. So you may be lucky to get it on Tuesday depending on the way it is routed.
