Seems nicely implemented, and it's nice to have a "card" you can fill and use elsewhere like PayPal. The question is, with so many people using Venmo (which works in iMessage), and Square Cash, why would anyone use Apple Pay cash except apple fans? They all work the same....
Because I can’t square cash or Venmo at most stores, this acts as a separate debit card in ways.

Ah, the infamous $20 for noodle money :D

Sorry, I didn't get this reference even though I heard how instant ramen is a form of cheap food for college students in the States. Ramen is a comfort/luxury food over here and we call instant ramen "instant noodles"

Can anyone help explain this?

What a joke. I have to setup a fake debit card, move money in/out of it to use the feature. How is this useful at all? If I could tie my bank account directly to it then I would be all on board. Thanks, but no thanks, Apple. Pass.

It's apparently a Discover Debit card according to Wallet. Yeah, that's not going to have merchant compatibility issues at all.

So can i transfer some noodle money after validating someone's face while they are sleeping ?

I still want to know how safe it is? Is it like cash where once I have the money, I have it? No risk of chargeback, etc? Or is it like Venmo where you can get ripped off if you use it for craigslist sales?

Wishful thinking I know, but can anyone running the beta in the U.K. check if it’s available for us brits?

UK based & downloading just now. Will check this out.

Feature is not available in international markets and is only available in the US. Due to the way the feature operates it would require a partnership with a third party in each country.

When did they announce this feature? Last year or even earlier?

This year at WWDC.

Bummer, my experience has been exactly the opposite. Most places I shop take ApplePay, and have had 0 issues on iOS 11 or WatchOS 4.1. Sorry you've had a bad experience.

Apolloa, I agree with DaveOP.
Though some places do not take Apple Pay, some do not take other mobile type payments as well, my overall experience with Apple Pay where accepted have been excellent. That is both with the iPhone 6S Plus and Apple Watch 3 LTE version. Also, my iOS devices, iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad Air2 have not experienced any issues with iOS 11.x. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

We have to load the card first? Why can't it be bank to bank? At least have it load the amount from the bank we are transfer to the person. Doesn't seem any easier than other services to be honest.
Bank to bank works through Zelle and your banks app.
