[doublepost=1535700566][/doublepost]Omg... is driving me crazy! Please someone fix it!

If this is more annoying than a wrong date you can set the date back a few weeks until the next release, tested it here and it worked perfectly.

This has got to be the most passive aggressive bug ever. Prodding you to update to a version that doesn’t exist every time you unlock your device.

Some people just like problems and rush into not fully baked products. But I understand that some have to test it for the others :)

iOS 11 too. Happened every few days the last two weeks, then every day the past few days, then every time I unlock my phone today.

My solution:
- delete iOS 11 PB profile
- reboot
— amazingly get pop up again
- check for update, see 11.4.1 wants to install
- download and install
- wonder if this solves issue.

Yea, come on you Guinee Pigs, all this effort on our behalf doesn’t go unnoticed because we know when IOS 12 is realeased, it will be rock-solid and flawless and that’s down to your sacrifice.

I don't have the iOS 12 beta running but this message popped up in my Carrot Weather app. I thought it was strange.

Guys, I realize this is a beta and we definitely don't usually point out bugs in betas, but this one is on a massive scale and it's pretty annoying. We had a lot of tweets from people wondering if it was just them, so I wanted to post to let people know that it's a well-known bug that appears to be impacting most if not all beta testers. I've asked Apple when we might expect a fix, and I'll update when I hear back.

"we definitely don't usually point out bugs in betas": Really??
What's the whole purpose of running Beta?? To find bugs and report them. You know, through that new shiny icon with description "Feedback". If you just want to run Beta versions to have all the new features to show of then you've got to deal with things like this and expect the unexpected. Otherwise, steer clear of Beta versions

I know I should be annoyed, but I can’t stop laughing at this :) It is sooo beyond reasonable measures, even IF the beta was about to expire.

If this goes on for much longer, I think it could be the birth of a new meme :D

This bug has been in iOS since v11, and has been probably reported to Beta-Feedback like 1 billion times, so I think the developers know what they are doing. There is no "user fix" for it.

I used to think Craig knew what he was doing but more and more it's becomming clear he doesn't know what the **** he IS doing. These kinds of os screw ups never happened under Forstall's watch but we all know Timmy likes to cut corners so we get the mess iOS and macOS have become.

I really didn’t just look to MacRumors to get a solution, only to read 11 pages worth of comments about how annoying it is, without anyone suggesting a solution... did I?

I really don't get the people on this forum that only post the same lame thing over and over: Its a beta. So what? This is why Apple and other devs give out betas - to test it for bugs, and this is why there are forums like this one.

There is absolutely nothing wrong about communicating and discussing bugs. However, this thread for some reason appears to be full of 8 year old self-entitled kids who have installed a pre-release install-on-your-risk software apparently just for lulz and now complain about Apple's QA. And to them the only proper response is: its a pre-release install-on-your-risk software (beta), stop being a ***.

Its so unnerving to have to read thru that same stupid frase again and again

Not as annoying as to read "oh, so I have installed this thing that Apple told me could potentially be buggy and should only be installed for testing purpose on non-critical devices and now its super annoying and buggy and ** Apple, they are going downhill and dumbing down everything #stevejobswouldneverallowit #firetim".

instead of trying to find a solution

Finding a solution = wait for it to be fixed. Could be next week or could be today, depending on how Apple feels about it.

Welcome to modern world, where people mindlessly install pre-release software and then blame the developer that its buggy

Well, there are a couple of comments saying set the date back (which may well cause issues with syncing), other than that then the only solution seems to be to wait for a fix from Apple which hopefully they'll be quick to publish given this is such a late public beta and therefore likely to be widely adopted (which they'll know that the majority of its users will have on their primary devices).

Wow, looks like iOS isn't the only thing repeating the same annoying message.

Yes, it's beta; we all know that, but get real. If something annoys people, it annoys them; doesn't matter whether it's in a beta or not. And if something annoys people, they like to talk about it. That's one of the purposes of forums like these. Get over it or move on to the next article.

I absolutely loved this post - thank you so much!

Wow, I can't believe how many "beta apologists" there are out there.

Seriously, this isn't a June-beta or July-beta. This is a beta that went out mere weeks before the final release. This is not the kind of thing that you should see when the release is imminent. Yes, it doesn't crash. There's no data-loss. But it's still extremely annoying, and casts a shadow over Apple's quality control process.
