It’s been somewhat annoying me every few minutes now, but it is a beta build. Maybe one coming out soon?

I think “plagued” is too much of a strong word, though.

Fixed it by putting the clock back...

Holy crap!! I’m now late for so many appointments!!! But on the up side, it’s my 50th birthday AGAIN tomorrow.

Seriously guys, leave the clock alone and just deal with it. This it what beta testing if for

iPhone and iPad users who have installed the current iOS 12 beta are being plagued with a continual popup that suggests a new iOS update is available when it's not.

Affected users are seeing the following message: "A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta." The problem is users receiving this message are running the most recent version of iOS and there is no additional software to update to.

Beta testers have been seeing this popup since the latest beta was released on August 27, but over the course of the last day, the popups have become much more frequent.

Many users are now seeing the popup every time an iPhone or iPad running the beta is unlocked, and it is a popup that must be manually dismissed each and every time before an iOS device can be accessed.

Developer Guilherme Rambo has suggested that an error in the latest update causes the iOS beta to think that its expiration date is imminent, leading to the popup problem.

Complaints on Twitter and the MacRumors forums are picking up from users who are frustrated with having to continually dismiss the popup, and it's not clear when a fix will be available.

I just turned off my auto update and it seems to have stopped the message appearing

I had the same problem but all I did was go into general software update and turn off auto update and it seems to have stopped the message popping up it’s been ok for 3days now not had message back

It’s a beta. You are QA.
Us being QA doesn’t justify Apple making rookie mistakes. Setting the wrong expiry date on both current iOS 12 and iOS 11 beta is obviously a rookie mistake.

For readers hoping Apple would stop doing rookie mistakes (hardware: e.g. breadcrumb-gate, software: e.g. logging in as root with empty password), this is bad news.

I'm on iOS 11 and am also having this issue (the pop-up references iOS 11 instead though), removing the beta profile for iOS 11 hasn't solved this.

I was in iOS 11 beta too and was having this issue.
After removing profile, reboot your iPhone and check system update, you'll see an upgrade to iOS 11.4.1 Release. After upgrading the issue is solved.

I got the same problem. It’s becoming pretty irritating because it pops ups when I’m in the middle of something. I guess I won’t remove the beta profile since that apparently doesn’t resolve it.

Just started happening to me today. Every time I unlock. Pretty annoying, but that's why it's a beta. Lol

I'm runnibg beta 10 and this message shows every time i dropped down notification center or unlock the phone

I was in iOS 11 beta and I removed my profile long ago. I never installed iOS 12 beta, and I'm seeing that annoying pop up after unlocking the phone.

Yes, I'm aware. Again, this was shared because of how widespread it is.

When Tim Cook touted how many people were on iOS 12 beta he didn’t forewarn not to use it because it’s a beta.

This is definitely a meme bug

Like the i-bug that turned I into a question mark box on 11.1 haha
