PS: it's not a little glitch, it happens every time i unlock my phone and multiple times while operating it. Second thing iOS 12 isn't doomed, there isn't enough changes to even consider it doomed. Let's be honest, it's iOS 11.5.

Wait... Are people crying because there a glitch in the Beta? <shakes head>
Absolutey the MOST insightful post this evening.

Why didn't anyone else consider that?

If it is just due to the expiration date of the beta, they could easy have it fixed tomorrow with a small update.
I assume this is affecting Apple employees also. Will get fixed quick.

Unfortunately this isn't just happening with the latest beta 9 of ios 12 because my wife is running ios 11.4.1 and she's receiving it as well. Hopefully they'll stop guessing what the issue is and resolve it....
For the 11.4.1 users, delete the beta profile and then run software update. that should get rid of it at least for beta 11.4.1 users. friggin apple.

Seeing it too. Seems to have only started a few hours ago, now it’s constant.
It's been doing it for about a week for me.

I'm still running iOS 10. Wish I could turn off the pop ups nagging me to update to 11....
Download the TVOS profile, then the update servers will think you're a TVOS system and ignore you. I did that for iOS 9. Lasted until my phone died. Now I have to run this abomination.

Apple isn't open on Fridays?

My tech company employees 1k people and we have people working every hour of every day to make sure our websites are up and bugs are fixed. I'm fairly certain Apple doesn't lock the doors on weekends and holidays.

They also don’t push out updates on holiday weekends either. I’ll eat crow if I’m wrong

It’s been somewhat annoying me every few minutes now, but it is a beta build. Maybe one coming out soon?

I think “plagued” is too much of a strong word, though.

Plagued means to cause continuous trouble. Seems like an apt description.

Those who keep saying 'ohh it's a beta, what do you expect' this is the largest number of betas apple has either even had or had recently. This is an alpha level mistake. So get off your high horses. As someone who does programming, that kind of mistake is really lazy.

This is not an alpha level mistake. It’s a nuisance. Give it a rest.

Betas aren’t just betas anymore.. now Apple even has to have betas held up to a certain standard.. we went from Apple never pulling a beta.. I mean. Their was some betas back in the day that was so bad to the point you couldn’t even make a 3 minute phone call without the phone crashing.. and Apple NEVER pulled it or rushed an update.. now, a beta stutters for 2 hours after release. And Apple pulls it.. times has changed.

I really don't get the people on this forum that only post the same lame thing over and over: Its a beta. So what? This is why Apple and other devs give out betas - to test it for bugs, and this is why there are forums like this one. For those who test to post their experience. I know they will not do that, but you guys, whose only comment es - its a beta - why don't you just go away to some place else. WE ALL KNOW ITS BETA - so shut up.

Or like the poster right before me - who is complaining and why can't you complain in any case about a beta. there have been very sh****ty betas and ist absolutly ok to complain about that. Thats what beta are for. Nobody has to stand in awe cause a beta is a mess

Its so unnerving to have to read thru that same stupid frase again and again instead of trying to find a solution o just let people know - you are not alone with this bug. Thanks

I just don’t understand Apple defenders. This is an Apple-centric website. We sign up for Betas because we trust Apple. We are happy with Apple. We are Apple fans.

So if there’s a problem then why not allow discussion rather than trying so hard to shut people down.

iPhone and iPad users who have installed the current iOS 12 beta are being plagued with a continual popup that suggests a new iOS update is available when it's not.

Affected users are seeing the following message: "A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta." The problem is users receiving this message are running the most recent version of iOS and there is no additional software to update to.

Beta testers have been seeing this popup since the latest beta was released on August 27, but over the course of the last day, the popups have become much more frequent.

Many users are now seeing the popup every time an iPhone or iPad running the beta is unlocked, and it is a popup that must be manually dismissed each and every time before an iOS device can be accessed.

Developer Guilherme Rambo has suggested that an error in the latest update causes the iOS beta to think that its expiration date is imminent, leading to the popup problem.

Complaints on Twitter and the MacRumors forums are picking up from users who are frustrated with having to continually dismiss the popup, and it's not clear when a fix will be available.

The Medicine for this plague is to set the Date of phone back to 10 or more days
