iOS 16.1 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Yeah... was seeing that on 16.1 on my 13PM and it transferred over to my 14PM so I'll be looking for a fix cause it's annoying..

yeah... I know... probably take them a few revolutions to fix it..

Discovered the bug on Page 2 I believe. The workaround is open an app on Home Screen and minimize it back and then scroll back to App Library and not Widget page.
 
GPS navigation (at least in Maps) is pretty busted for me right now on 14PM. Was just driving using CarPlay and it would freeze for 10 seconds, jump forward (although still not to where I was), then track me for maybe one second before freezing again. Pulled over, rebooted phone, tried just using the phone instead of CarPlay— no change.

Looks like tonight may be me restoring back to release version. Lol

EDIT: for what it’s worth, there’s another thread here of people reporting the same, and it even happening in Google Maps. I’ll report back if going back to 16.0.1 fixes it. If not… probably about to be a lot of very upset new iPhone owners haha.

For me the map would be jumping all over the place until I started a route.

Having the live sports scores and live activities is nice on 16.1

I accidentally hit “turn off” for live activities and now can’t find a way to turn it back on. Anyone know?
 
anyone else has got issue sending videos or photos inside whatsapp?

sharing from gallery photo works, from whatsapp itself is not working, crashing whatsapp

More little bugs I’m noticing. Beta 2 has a lot of work to do 😆

It’s a known issue. Sending from share sheet works as a workaround.

It would only do that for me if I didn’t have a route calculated. Very odd
 
WhatsApp is crashing when trying to send several images from photos library, from inside the app. If I send them from photos library, everything’s ok. Anyone?

I believe this is from the Apple TV app. LA/SF was the Friday Night Baseball game they were revising last night on TV+ so I’m pretty sure that’s what it was.

I’m wondering how you get the Live Activity to display? Simply go to the Lock Screen while watching the game?

You go to a game in the TV app, and click the follow button. it worked last night with the baseball game, and I am going to see if it works for college football today.
