Kinda regretting putting this on new 14 pro max.. Home Screen loses swipe right/left functionality if you touch the dynamic island or start an app that uses it. Ugh.. only way to fix is reboot… How do they manage to break core functionality in an incremental beta is beyond me.

Same. Not quite unusable, but... I wonder if it’s because I transferred all data from a 12 pro on 16.1 that I’m getting weird artifacts and losing the ability to swipe to App Library

I think I’m just going to wipe it and downgrade to released iOS16, then set up as a new phone on the 14PM. But I don’t want to lose my health data. Any way to just selectively restore that?
Pretty sure that syncs from iCloud. Thinking of doing the same.

I’ve already got it on my 12 Pro. Is the best way to not put it on my new 14 Pro just to restore from the last iCloud backup prior to 16.1 when setting up the new phone? Or is it better to downgrade first then do a phone-phone transfer? Any advantages either way?

Anyone else’s iPhone 14 Pro GPS not work With 16.1? My previous iPhone was on 16.1, so when I moved everything over, this new one was always on 16.1 beta. Rebooting the phone didn’t fix the problem. And it’s a clear, sunny day - so I know clouds aren’t the problem. I’ve also tested in Google Maps, same issue.

I attached a video, every time I drove by a building with wifi, my location updated. It was just a completely still screen when I tested it on the highway with just a lot of trees around.

EDIT: I guess I missed this post

Someone on the AppleSeed forums reported something very similar on his new 14. I do not know if he’s on the current 16.1 beta. I’m just on 16.0.1 where it will stay, I never risk a new device on a beta. I went for a long drive this morning to see if there were any such issues on my 14 Pro Max. Everything functioned properly both in follow along mode as well as guided navigation.

Mine works fine, both swiping after DI interaction, and App Library access.

I also restored from a backup, like always.

I searched, but didn't find anything...

Is anyone else having an issue with non-Apple agenda widgets not showing calendar events? I can see them in the apps themselves, but the widgets are blank. This is in Widgy, Wigetwizard, Fantastical, Readle Calendar, etc. Yes, I've checked permissions, and have tried many different widget apps. This first occurred in the new iPad beta, and now in iOS 16.1.

This was the fastest phone-to-phone transfer by far. It originally gave an estimate of ~three hours, which kept decreasing. In the end, it took about 75 minutes.

For context, I have a half full 512GB.
Yes I was completely surprised

Yeah, i down graded to 16.0.1 after seeing the article of GPS issues too… 2 major core functionality issues, surprised this (16.1) was released as a public release.

Well this doesn’t bode well. I had Facebook on for barely a minute and it used 30% battery. Time to uninstall and reinstall (knowing I should leave it off anyway). I’ve been using Safari and that barely registers.

Yes. As posted previously, many (all?) 3rd party widgets are either not updating at all, or only update when the underlying app is opened.

Calendar widgets fall into the former category it seems.

It 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 released as a public release. It was released as a beta. A first beta, at that. This is what betas are for.

Still having this app library issue when you swipe down to see all apps and the search bar and “cancel” area is pretty much out of the touch zone at the top of the screen.

Have to swipe right to get out of it.

I made the mistake of updating to the 16.1 beta today on my new 14 pro. Is there an easier way to downgrade back to 16.0 or 16.0.1 without restoring from a backup? It took me forever yesterday to restore. I guess, not being the App Library via swipe isn't that critical. I can still search for an App so I can open it. I opened a bug via Feedback. Hopefully Apple fixes this soon.
