For me I usually do a few hard resets and the second day start seeing battery life being much better. I don’t usually expect great battery life on betas but its a plus when it happens

Yeah agreed on not expecting much with battery life on betas, but beta 2 of 16.2 I saw improvements over 16.1. Beta 3 just doesn’t seem as good. We will se though. Maybe tomorrow it will turn the corner

So I know it’s early, and there is still some indexing, but not real impressed with battery life. Definitely seemed better on beta 2. Seems Apple can’t fix something without breaking another. Glad though the shutters have been figured out.
Do you recall if it was the same when you first installed beta 2? Was your battery life more impressive after an initial install of beta 2 on your phone?

So it’s confirmed the swipe up stutters are fixed?
If you’re referring to swipe up to engage the multitasking view and then another swipe up to force close an app, I see intermittent stutter/dropped frames with that animation.

unscientifically, iOS 16.2 battery seemed better late yesterday.
Back on normal use/daily driving, my 14 Pro is at 93% after 4 hours, with limited use. Mostly Chrome, but also "Home & Lock Screen" is using a bunch of battery.

My battery life has been horrendous today. I know betas are a gamble and battery life can be impacted. But I used maps to get to work and then had the radio playing in the background whilst I was working. Most days I get home in the evening (circa 1730ish) with around 50% left.

I was down to 29% today at 1442hrs!

Also optimised charging didn't work last night either.

No it doesn't fix it. Wouldn't surprise me if this is another bug that makes it through to full public release.
Argh. I updated last night and yup, the scheduled sleep alarms won't update. After my alarm went off in the morning, it now shows Alarms Off even though I have an alarm set.

Does anyone have an iPad Pro M1 and can check whether 5G works or not? So far there has been one post saying it doesn't work, so I'm holding off from upgrading the iPad.
I have iPad Pro M1, on Airtel network in India.
The iPad Pro does not show 5G options.

Stupid question, but does this beta fix any of the Music app bugs related to the “Recently Played” section in Music?

Basically referring to the fact that the Recently Played section has been displaying inaccurate info for a lot of people (perhaps everyone?). There’s also a stupid glitch where removing an album from your library causes it to not show up as being recently played.

Thanks.
Hoping someone else can confirm this.

The Recently Played section on 16.1.1 is a complete disaster on multiple levels.

Does this update fix the alarm clock widget not updating the wake up time on the lock screen?
No for me. The sleep wake up alarm time does not display on Lock Screen widget.
However sometimes upon restarting iPhone, the wake alarm time configured in sleep shows up I’m widget for sometime then automatically vanishes and stops showing.

It seems that stuttering has been solved in almost all situations, but randomly in some apps returns. In the health app for example, it goes well and suddenly sticks a large pull. I suppose this beta threw it to try to minimize as much as possible, given the possibility of not having to wait two weeks until beta 4 with this annoying problem.

After updating to any new beta, the Apple websites do not load for me (iTunes, App Store)
