I’m having solid performance and no bugs or issues otherwise, but I am experiencing pretty big battery drain on this beta. I lost 10-12% over 5 hours while the phone was just on standby/wasn’t being used at all.
Really??? Wow this could be a reason to jump on the beta again xD
What’s interesting in this conversation is that everyone who remembers a CD player is getting personally offended. Also I think @Pearsey is Welsh or Bri’ish or UKian and it sounds like the CD lover crowd is American… knowing they have cars called a Ford Mondeo across the pond, is it that difficult to think they got rid of CD players earlier? Or that it was a slight exaggeration? Or that @Pearsey has one sh**box for 13 years without a CD player and 2 years ago got a Rolls Royce without one???
Also, why are people gripping about public Vs developer access?????? If you pay $100 it’s because you’re developer, not a paying beta tester. You should be developing your software and verifying it works on the upcoming iOS. 🤦🏻♂️
These forums have entitled people. Can we just stick to the BETAs and not nitpick each other???????
I’m not offended as it’s just a piece of plastic we’re talking about, nothing for me to take personally. I just saw the statement as surprising - then again, I really have no idea what cars are like in the UK anyway! But I imagine most Japanese or German cars are largely the same on that side of the pond, other than the fact that they put the steering wheel on the wrong side of the vehicle.
iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 16.4 beta 1 randomly shutdown when using. Not good.
Took this yesterday.. No issue for me, too much caffeine or bad camera for you maybe ???. 🤣
FYI ….I could not post this pic at full resolution it said the file was too large so may not look as nice as it does on my phone.
I laughed at a CD player I haven’t seen in a car for a very long time… has that really created this much fuss 😆😂

I think your phones got some hardware issues, what with your screen orientation rendering too.

GPS failed this morning using maps. Restart got it going again.

Thanks for posting the results. I think my iPhone couldn’t handle how many photos I was taking. I took well over 1500 photos yesterday 😂
Not sure. The camera works fine when taking a picture or so but with Pano mode. I’m experiencing this bug. Could be software related? Maybe iOS is just buggy for me. If it was a hardware issue I would have a hardware glitch but this one seems more like a software. If I go to the Apple Store they will say to set the iPhone up as new 🤦♀️

Update! Just tried it and no issues with the pano. The only thing I did was turned off low-power mode. Maybe that’s what is causing it.

You may well have overheated the sensor with that many photos. That could lead to the type of problems you’re having.

I've got a Mondeo, and I'm British and it has a CD player 😂 coincidentally after the facelift in 2019 the CD player option was standard only on high end trims.
But yes back to betas, I'm sure there are various infotainment forums the delights of CD player ownership can be discussed 😂

Having apparently been the instigator of this whole car cd player debate despite it just being in the photos and never mentioned in my post, the irony is that although I have the cd player as part of the factory head unit and have owned the car for 9 years I’ve never actually used it as I’ve always had my phone connected for music… except when an iOS beta breaks that!
This is weird. I made a 16.3.1 backup before installing the 16.4 beta 1. Because of the scrolling issues in the beta, I restored the backup. Everything went successfully, but now my phones says it is on 16.4 and at least a couple of the 16.4 features are there: 5G standalone and choices for beta (I checked and is off) and developer in the update menu.
But the kicker is the scrolling is working. What is going on?

Restoring a backup does not revert the software. You just factory reset 16.4 and restored a backup from 16.3.1; you have to downgrade with IPSW to actually go back to 16.3.1.
