Has anyone noticed with this update that some old passwords reappear as duplicates in the Keychain? when this happens, even if you delete them, they reappear (if you delete them from a mac, they are deleted successfully)

Apple has stated that anyone logging into the developer site with their Apple ID would also see the developer beta option in Software Update. I'm not a developer nor do I have a paid account but I did once log into the site with my Apple ID, that is the one that is my primary on my devices, and the developer beta option is there. But we were instructed to use the customer beta option to receive beta updates, or off if we do not want the beta releases.
I have logged in with my apple id on the developer site, and in the settings I only see the public beta option. This is being a huge mess and the beta options seem to appear and disappear randomly.

Attempting to start music from CarPlay causes CarPlay to crash ~10 seconds in. The only way to get music to play is to pick up your phone and start it from there.

Attempting to add a song to Play Next, from the phone, causes CarPlay to crash.

Notifications on the Lockscreen often require two taps to expand from the count view (between the Flashlight and Camera buttons). The first tap makes the text go gray, the second actually expands the list.

Tapping links why in Private Browsing do not work when you first switch to Private Browsing. You have to close Safari and reopen it in order to make them work.

It's the same thing I've been saying for the last 4 betas.
I drove for 6 hours yesterday using CarPlay the entire time and had none of these issues. I used Apple Music, Spotify, skipped songs took calls, and did not experience any of this.

One thing I have started doing after updating the iOS and the apps is doing a couple of hard restarts. It seems to clear some of these issues up - or prevent them from happening.

I have to say i'm quite impressed with 16.4 so far. After a hard reset my mail background activity seems to have subsided, connection reliability for hotspots (which had never worked reliably) seems to contact much faster even when on the road and general UI seems crazy smooth. Music which I was going to praise for audio not stuttering when I rearrange songs in the queue now has a bug that the screen freezes and is unresponsive for a few seconds. It is minor and definitely hope it's fixed next release but I'm very happy with 16.4 so far.

I went the update via iTunes/Desktop route. The progress bar seems to be taking forever with this status

when should I be concerned?

FYI, my iPad Pro updated to 16.4 OTA, and it was over with quickly. That’s how I captured this pic.

Astronomy - Earth wallpaper is semi broken here (IP 13 Pro Max).

On the lockscreen it correctly updates day/night cycle and clouds but when you swipe up to the homescreen it jumps back to display the zoomed-in area of Earth at the time you booted the device/switched to the Astronomy wallpaper.

Had to choose a different wallpaper because this is annoying.
Seeing the same issue here on 14 Pro

Please fix Safari reading list and tab groups. They stopped updating and tabs get mixed up or deleted (in tab groups) in iOS 16.4

Anyone else having issues with “custom” smilies being extremely huge now?

Safari has received quite a major overhaul, and nobody's talking about it. Those Webkit Tech Preview features are pushed faster than I though in Safari.

It has now become the leading browser in the Interoperability 2023 Challenge Dashboard

I did a restore with the .ipsw file in Finder, and then restored from an iCloud Backup. Left it alone for the most part as to finish downloading and installing everything. I couldn’t be happier. It’s fixed any and all problems I’ve had that I can think of off hand.

Also, battery life has been great! Still running off the initial install and pulling it from the charger before bed, I’ve still got 75% in the morning. And I watched some YouTube and played a game for a bit, too. It’s weird that Siri and the Tips app even are showing up here, though…

I'm observing a huge background usage by the Spark mail app since updating to 16.4 RC (and then 16.4 final). I've sent the logs to their support and they're looking into it, but I looked at the logs myself and there's no activity registered during that time. I don't have any other apps doing that.

I would recommend giving it a hard restart that seems to iron out weird background activity for Mail based applications every once in a while.

I actually got HKSV animal recordings today throughout the day for the first time in awhile. I’m not calling it fixed though until I get them regularly.

The Haptic Keyboard feature is a hit or a miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I find it works correct more frequently with the mute switch on (vibrate mode only). When I have mute switch flipped to sounds on, I find it the haptics might start at the beginning of typing a message then quit part way through typing the message.

Thank you. I tried all the basic troubleshooting steps. I gave it a hard reset, I deleted and reinstalled the app - nothing. It's still the same.

Another friend of mine who uses Spark is having the exact same problem. We both use an iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 16.4. It can be reproduced 100%. After a reboot it stops for 24 hours, then it starts doing it again.

I have even enabled Spark logging and looked at the logs: there's nothing in there. It seems to come out of nowhere. I tried to reproduce it with Xcode console logging connected and enabled, but then of course it stops doing it...
