iOS 16 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

My automation does run without prompting, but it's a shortcut that since iOS16 now likes to tell me that it's running, before giving me my menu prompt, and then telling me again that it's run after my function ends. I don't need to interact with the notification, it's just bad design on Apple's part (imo).

Had a weird issue with this beta where I wasn't able to answer calls nor was I able to shut down via the usual means. Did a shut down through settings, then when it came back up it seemed to be working fine again.

the Keyboard on iPad does not change orientation with the iPad screen from portrait to landscape or vice versa while the cursor is placed inside any field on a safari web page.
The keyboard behaves correctly in every other app, but not on safari web pages field.

Was able to replicate that.

Add in online forms with signature blocks. Apple Pencil doesn't work in these for signatures with this beta. Appears to be a Safari issue as it works everywhere else I have tried.

Probably been posted already but the Clownfish wallpaper has a parallax effect when swiping up to unlock. Adds a nice 3D element to an otherwise low resolution image.

There is an overall feeling of smoothness with this beta. I think even the lockscreen opening just glides like silk, be it they've tweaked the animation or because the widgets have been updated things are working better together.

But this feels like an official release for what I’m doing on my 12. Installed with IPSW file.

I think you could substitute half the features introduced every year for "clownfish wallpaper". It's not the need for the feature; its the not having it!

Weather Widget

Don't ask me why but I have the Weather Widget on the Today screen and the Home screen.
That being the case why are the temps different? Even after refreshing.

One reads 75F, the other reads 72F. Actual temp is 72F.
Kind of odd. Both say "My Location".
