apple is already signing beta 3, those of us who use windows with 3utools in its version 2.61 can update and restore without problems with the ipsw file. I need to test if itunes with this version works.

Anyone else seeing high system data memory usage?? 145gb of system data I’ve rebooted and checked everything I could think of. iPhone 13 Pro 256gb.

Thanks, but didn't work. Glad it worked for you, but probably as seemingly random there as here. Concurrence is not causality.
I did not have it initially but restarted my device to fix something else. That may have done it...or it just got pushed randomly.

Something I just realized about the new wallpaper system, I guess we can finally collect and keep all of the default iOS wallpapers now over the years 👍🏻

Is anyone else's software update screen different before downloading the beta? Mine just shows the update as 16.0 with the old settings icon. No mention of a beta, no description, no 16 icon. Reinstalled the profile and that didn't help either.

EDIT: After downloading, the regular look came back.

CarPlay works seamlessly. Been in and out of the car today. No sound dimming of directions. Has connected every time - tethered.
Same for me...

EDIT: Wait...scratch that...still having the occasional Apple Music issue where the app crashes during a song and the only way to start again is through the CarPlay screen. App on phone crashes....I mean, I know they're the same, but opening the app on CarPlay brings up the song at the point where it crashed. Apple notices it and asks for a report.

Another clarification, I view Apple Music on my vent mounted phone (lyrics when available) while I am typically have Maps running on the CarPlay screen...not sure if that is part of the issue...maybe a memory management thing.

this is excessively big.

Check some of these out:

Email folders with large attachments in like PDFs - attachments seem to be stowed away under system data.
• Snap chat, instagram, Facebook etc all cache. Offload the app and reinstall.
• as @gwhizkids explained, plug your phone and sync it, this free up logs stored on your phone.
• Check website data in Safari, if youve never emptied this, first time round I had 20 gigs in there.

What would be really great is if you can see or find out the Windows equivalent to holding down option/alt and clicking the check for update button then custom selecting your IPSW file for a reinstall or restore in iTunes.

No pressure at all. Only if you have time. Then we have both bases covered for people who get in trouble. At present ive only been able to offer advice on a Mac. 👍🏼

That your actual location is presented and not a default one, but this with the location function turned off.
Could you rephrase this? Not quite sure what you are saying/asking.

Messages

Looks like Apple is back to borking Messages.

With b2 the text bar had vanished for non-iDevice contacts. Well b3 fixed that.
However

I now have bar overlap on at the bottom (see attached).
Basic MMS fails but SMS works. It lets you say, insert a photo but clicking send doesn't trigger, send.
Custom ringtones fail but resetting to default works fine.
I do however get all incoming messages!

Reported via Feedback.

This is new?

Where do we access deleted reminders? I kinda wish completed reminders automatically deleted too.

Automations have always been rubbish as far as I'm concerned. Popping up "automatically" to tell me to manually start something.

And shortcuts (I have one which gives a menu of options) now has a notification telling me it's running the shortcut before the menu appears, and then tells me again that a shortcut is running after the thing I select is done. Stupid.

However, the only automation I still have enabled (turn on low-power mode when I run a certain app, and another one to turn it off when I exit that app) are still working. So that's something.
Well yeah I’ll get an automation fail once in a blue moon ( mainly wake to no signal.) as for the “pop up’s” if I’m thinking there they same ones, you can turn those off within the automation.

the Keyboard on iPad does not change orientation with the iPad screen from portrait to landscape or vice versa while the cursor is placed inside any field on a safari web page.
The keyboard behaves correctly in every other app, but not on safari web pages field.
