My iphone was hooked to the magsafe charger for several hours while i slept and this morning the battery was at 65%. It charged for a little while but after that the battery actually went down for the larger portion of the night.
According to this screen Google Drive was active in the background for literally all night.
I'm not sure what to make of this. First of all, my understanding is that apps are not allowed by the system to do background tasks for a long period of time. Also, i'm dubious that google drive was doing something so intensive that it actually drained the battery even though it was connected to power.

Search /Spotlight is a step back again from previous beta. Results not showing up etc.

My good news: the fish just showed up on my iPhone 13!!! Weird how that is swimming so gradually to folks.

My bad news: pretty sure the battery is draining much more quickly with this beta.

Also, just discovered the new dictation tone, and I am very much a fan.

What’s more amazing is that Apple is inserting files onto devices over the air like this. Not sure how wild I am about that.

Anyone else finding the music app to be a mess? Especially with downloaded music?
been an issue since beta 1 - downloaded music pauses and/or crashes the app. still an issue in beta 3. I haven't found a workaround but to undownload any songs that cause the issue because it's not all of them.

please report.

I don't know to what extent this will be the case, because two colleagues in a telegram group did not have it, and it appeared to one after forcing a restart, and to another after updating with ipsw. I think it will be more due to a faulty installation, let's say, than because Apple is enabling it. When I updated to beta 3 from beta 2 it broke the assistive touch, it wouldn't let me enable it and it didn't work, I had to force a restart and it works normally. and the three of us who present this update by OTA, I am more and more convinced that this method of updating is very unpredictable compared to doing it with the ipsw file, where it does not generate errors like the one that the OTA generated for me.

Question for anyone.

With the new Messages functions, does this mean that Apple is storing some/all your Messages on iCloud even if you have Messages > iCloud turned off? Or are things like Delete held on device only?

I am having a big problem. Incoming phone calls ring but the number doesn’t show or the option to take the call are missing. I am missing so many calls and have rebooted twice.

IP13PM on beta 3.

Anyone have any input on this issue. Please share.

I can’t help with your issue unfortunately. But genuine question, why are you running a beta on clearly a very important device? I would suggest you go back to a full public release.

Is this new? Indicator saying you’re connected to ultra wide-band
I used to see it a month or so ago at work, and them it was gone as quickly as it arrived. Joined Beta this morning, and it was back even at home and not just at work.

I agree, but I always think it's funny that the base function of a phone is to be a phone, and it doesn't work :D

Hmm the MyHyundai with Bluelink app got a pretty decent update last night:
Jul 8, 2022
Version 5.0.6
• Introducing the Subscriptions page from Utilities Menu
• Manage WiFi Hotspot subscription (for supported vehicles)
• Introducing all-new Digital Key integrated with Wallet App (for supported vehicles)
• Refreshed Login page with guest login
• Enhanced Charge Station finder
• New MyHyundai App for Samsung Tizen smart watches
• Bug fixes and performance improvements

Haven't been able to locate the Digital Key integrated with Wallet App option within the app yet tho.

Also Apple hasn't updated their Supports car keys list yet to include which Hyundai models are supported.
https://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/available-models/

Wonder if they're just prepping the app for the iOS 16 digital key improvments.

I have been so busy at work im still on 15.6 like beta 3 LOL. I’m jumping on 16 probably today .. 👊🏼 i assume I need the mobile device package still to upgrade through finder to 16 ??

Catch up old timer 😆😂

Maybe not. Try first, otherwise download Xcode and get it out of show contents. 👍🏼

Agree this is funny. But at this point calling it “iVeryPowerfulHandheldComputingDevice” lacks the caché of “iPhone”.

Phone is probably a tertiary function at best on these devices for most now.

Yeah, charging with the MagSafe Battery Pack has mostly been hit-or-miss for me so far on this beta. Unless the pack itself is connected to power my 13 mini will randomly just give up charging and battery percentage will begin decreasing as if the pack were completely dead and/or disconnected. A bit disappointing for a third beta but also kind of glad to know I’m not the only one with this issue.
