According to Apple's website regarding weather app, these are their sources.
I’m pretty sure that the inaccuracies in weather app are due to Apple switching to Dark Sky/Apple Weather data instead of The Weather Channel. It truly sucks because the forecasts are way off. Even current conditions are off. TWC was/is a lot better. Dark Sky might be better in some specific areas but not worldwide.
Might as well uninstall the Weather app and switch to Carrot. It doesn’t have TWC anyway but some alternatives that are still better than Dark Sky.

Is anyone having issues with the news widget not showing up? I’ve tried everything and it’s blank. iPhone 13pro.![]()
I find it quite accurate for Ireland 🇮🇪The Weather Channel have their own app, will give it a try. ✋
Did I miss something? Where did the Fingers-Crossed emoji in Messages go?
I get it if someone sends it but it is missing in the emoji to send.
🤞This one?

Better off to install rc next week....
Except it will be on 7 September, so a slightly longer wait.
If so, I would expect Apple to check the forecast reliability before making that switch?![]()
It's too bad that TWC doesn't have a good Watch complication.This. The only reason I use the TWC app on my device, it is actually accurate.
I suspect that they save money by using their own source rather than TWC. Cutting costs/increasing profit is more import to them than the accuracy of the weather app’s data.

Here is what I see.Still there in message for me
Well I think the concern here is that it might not be an issue related to the beta. It might be that Dark Sky just isn't very accurate. I could be wrong there, but I think that's what we're wondering. Because if current state ends up being the final release state, then iOS 16 is forcing me to use a different weather app because their stock app is a downgrade. And I would wait until final release to judge this. You all say you understand this is a beta but then you don’t act like it.

I'm not investigating this issue as I switched to a local weather app, however someone posted that the detailed forecast appeared accurate but the summary didn't match the detail.Well I think the concern here is that it might not be an issue related to the beta. The UI has just been buggy for me. The tiles have been wrong, but the detail beneath them has been right. I assume there’s still some work to be done. And I understand that concern. But I am not going to get excited about it until it is a publicly released product and not one undergoing beta testing. Dark Sky was considered one of the premiere weather apps on the App Store. I don’t think it had that reputation for no reason.
If the weather app is inaccurate following final release, I will join those who castigate Apple for this. But until final release, I report, report, report. And hold my tongue.
