Is anyone having issues with the news widget not showing up? I’ve tried everything and it’s blank. iPhone 13pro.

According to Apple's website regarding weather app, these are their sources.

Yes, I saw it already, as we can also find the link at the bottom of the Weather app itself, along with the data sources for Maps. The fact is that at the moment the forecasts remain different between iOS 15 & 16 and, unfortunately, iOS 16 ones are way worse.

I’m pretty sure that the inaccuracies in weather app are due to Apple switching to Dark Sky/Apple Weather data instead of The Weather Channel. It truly sucks because the forecasts are way off. Even current conditions are off. TWC was/is a lot better. Dark Sky might be better in some specific areas but not worldwide.
Might as well uninstall the Weather app and switch to Carrot. It doesn’t have TWC anyway but some alternatives that are still better than Dark Sky.

The Weather Channel have their own app, will give it a try. ✋

Yep, but it might not be iOS 16 related, as I just came across it on a phone running iOS 15.6.1 while it shows fine on mine with iOS 16 PB. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Cutout subjects from photos app now working again on my 13 mini. PB. Had stopped working for me in the previous two PBetas (reported).

And I would wait until final release to judge this. You all say you understand this is a beta but then you don’t act like it.
Well I think the concern here is that it might not be an issue related to the beta. It might be that Dark Sky just isn't very accurate. I could be wrong there, but I think that's what we're wondering. Because if current state ends up being the final release state, then iOS 16 is forcing me to use a different weather app because their stock app is a downgrade.

And I understand that concern. But I am not going to get excited about it until it is a publicly released product and not one undergoing beta testing. Dark Sky was considered one of the premiere weather apps on the App Store. I don’t think it had that reputation for no reason.

If the weather app is inaccurate following final release, I will join those who castigate Apple for this. But until final release, I report, report, report. And hold my tongue.

I'm not investigating this issue as I switched to a local weather app, however someone posted that the detailed forecast appeared accurate but the summary didn't match the detail.

That makes it sound like a beta issue rather than a fundamental bad-forecasting issue. Fingers crossed.

The UI has just been buggy for me. The tiles have been wrong, but the detail beneath them has been right. I assume there’s still some work to be done.

Yikes at the battery news!

Am I getting old or are these major updates just getting smaller and smaller? iOS feels very mature compared to the early days when the releases were a lot more substantive.
