That’s how iOS 16 works. If they came down from the top your widgets would be masked.
What happens if there are no widgets on the Lock Screen? On my iPad Pro on 16.1 notifications are exactly where they’ve always been. My phone is still on 15.6.1.

So is there a way at all to have notifications the old fashioned way? Right now I have no widgets selected, so maybe that way I can have notifications all the way to the top?

There are settings to adjust how notifications are displayed on the Lock Screen, with “list” being the closest option to previous versions of iOS, however they will still come in from the bottom. No way to have them come in from the top anymore…

I can't seem to get them to group by app. I have it set to "list," and group by app, but it is still several steps: tap the notification, then it expands into separate notifications for however many messages I have from that app, then it taps through to the app itself. Yuck.

I’ve had keyboard haptics turned on throughout the whole beta experience, but they’re very weak on Beta 7. Boo.
I've never even had the keyboard haptics. But I did notice the haptics when I toggle the setting were much weaker this time.

13 Pro Max

Messages.
For Contacts with custom ring tomes, some messages are triggering more than 1 ring alert. Getting 2 rings frequently and 3 occasionally. These seem to be for SMS/MMS and not iMessage.

App Manager.
Suspect issue with RAM Manager. Seeing more frequent Safari Tab reloads and app frequently reload. Happening more often than beta 5 or 6.

Have had the screen freeze twice on me now inside of an app so I cannot tell if it the app or the OS. Branium Freecell and PDF Expert Pro.

Yeah…I don’t know what’s happening to me then. Maybe a bug? Here’s a screenshot *OF* a screenshot, and this is still 3.8mb, and a cropped screenshot at that.

My screenshots on 13 ProMax are PNG and most are 7-9 MB in size.
Bigger than others I have in Photos. Those were 3-4 MB. From previous iOS 16 betas.

I think it has something to do with the new cutout feature. Any screenshot that has an image is trying to preserve as much detail as possible or trying to save the original image source as part of the screenshot.
Try taking a screenshot of something with just text. It should be around 1MB range as expected.

I just did a screenshot of white text on a black background and it was 264kb.
Sounds like you are correct. Thx!!
