iOS 16 Beta 7 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Apparently PB is out, but not showing on my phone yet.

Same here (kind of).

I just installed the iOS 16 public beta profile. Now, Software Update is showing me PB4, which was from last week. I'm gonna try again in an hour or two.

iPadOS 16.1 seems to have totally broken PiP for 3rd party apps.

At least with YouTube, if I just close the app while playing a video it does stop playing. If I open an app from the dock while watching an YouTube video it does do PiP. So, might just be partly broken.

I get the sound but the video vanishes when you try PiP.

They dropped the “beta” language in beta 6.

Thanks! How about someone on a non-M1 iPad? If it says 16.0, then I think they (we) will get the goods on the same day iOS 16 drops.

I’d post mine but it’s taking forever to update.

Mine says 16.1 with same build.

I was referring to the top of the update screen. It would in the past say “iOS 16 Beta 1 (or 2 or 3)”. Not just “iOS 16.0”.

Again, the "16.0" description is likely a bug, and it's been around for both iPhones and iPads for several betas. The correct version will be displayed under Settings -> General -> About once the update is complete.

Open the Youtube App -> Play a Video -> Open an other App from the Dock -> the Youtube Video will play in PiP.
Now you can return to the Homescreen and the Video is still playing in PiP

Play/pause button still loiters on-screen for a moment after dismissing Control Center. A tad irksome especially because it’s a beta-6 leftover.

PIP works for me but just not when simply going back to Home Screen. If I have YouTube open; I have to drag an app onto the screen and if I make it full screen it shows up. I tried both YouTube and Directtv

As long as they’re being released together, I don’t see why separate threads would be necessary. After all, it should be apparent about which software version one is talking depending on which type of device they’re using.

Only if people make it clear which device they are talking about. After umpteen years here I have seen no evidence of that happening.

I was hoping someone who had the Amex issue with cards being removed could let me know if re-adding them didn't result in them being removed again a day or so later?

I want to add my cards back but I don't want to keep reprovisioning if they just get removed again.

My AMEX is still there and usable since readding. But for some reason when I use AP to reload my one app, it's in a separate section at the bottom now.

If that’s true that’s unusual. I don’t recall going from same day release to a different day. But then again I don’t have a detailed record so anything is possible.
