Maybe I’m going crazy, but is it a new thing with the betas to save screenshots as .PNG? I took a screenshot and it saved as a 7.8mb file in .PNG format. I feel like that’s not been a thing, I can’t remember screenshot uploads ever taking this long.

Still no keyboard haptics. And what is extra weird is the haptics when I toggle the setting now are much weaker than they were in previous betas

Are you going to the right place? Keyboard haptics have worked for me since the first beta. General > Sounds & Haptics > Keyboard Feedback

They’ll get the data fixed. This is no downgrade. This is a big improvement.
In fairness no matter how cool they make it or fancy looking if the data is inaccurate its sorta useless. However in other news, how would they manage to get wrong data in the first place? I mean it seems they could pull that data from some reputable source and simply display it in their fancy looking app. Sorta like they always have done . :)

All of my screenshots on 16.0b7 have been <1 MB in PNG

Yeah…I don’t know what’s happening to me then. Maybe a bug? Here’s a screenshot *OF* a screenshot, and this is still 3.8mb, and a cropped screenshot at that.

The data piece is probably the most easily fixed.

I think it has something to do with the new cutout feature. Any screenshot that has an image is trying to preserve as much detail as possible or trying to save the original image source as part of the screenshot.
Try taking a screenshot of something with just text. It should be around 1MB range as expected.

This must be it, thank you. I took a screenshot of my homescreen and that was still 4.5mb. I took a screenshot of the notes app and it was 435kb. A 7+mb file for a screenshot is crazy though. No wonder I’ve been burning through storage (I take many screenshots for work). I guess I will have to disable the feature and hope that it returns to normal.

Sad to see that Weather is still off. This might be one of the only times I've seen a stock app receive a downgrade like this in an iOS update.

Off compared to what? Different data providers use different forecasting methods so unless your comparison has the same data source it’s likely to be off.

Personally I really like the new weather app, but wish they would tone down the minute by minute predictions.

Weather data still being inaccurate at this point is kind of frustrating.
Sad thing is I thought the Apple weather team was on point and has made some nice improvements to the stock app .. shame they can’t get the simple temperature correct in these betas but lets hope for when its released all these issues get sorted out. !!

We had rain today and the weather app didn’t show any rain for the last 24 hours on iPadOS beta 7 (more on that).

But in iOS 15.6.1, I see the data there

So here’s the rub, the data is correct, the UI isn’t. If I click on the 0” rain tile and look at the details, I see the data. So the main tiled screen seems to be showing incorrect summary info from the underlying data.

I’ve submitted feedback.

Which leads me to the feedback app says this is iPadOS beta 7. While everyone is talking about the iPadOS 16.1 display, which I have as well, I believe the “code” is 16.0 beta 7 and the text is saying it won‘t see the light of day until 16.1. For purposes here, I believe it is still identical to 16.0b7 with some string changes for the iPadOS version saying 16.1.

I’ve had keyboard haptics turned on throughout the whole beta experience, but they’re very weak on Beta 7. Boo.

I actually like the way the keyboard haptics are now. It's not intrusive and gives me just the right feedback feeling. I don't need it or want to shake my whole device when I'm typing.

Should
Still encountering the occasional glitch where lock screen notifications briefly turn into rectangles with hard corners vs rounded corners. That bug has been around for a while.

Still encountering a lot of glitches, actually. Surprised this is an ‘A’ build.
I find the smoothest builds of any iOS version is reached around May of the year, which is replaced with another buggy/ glitchy next major version in just 3-4 months in September. So we are able to enjoy smooth builds only for 3-4 months every year.
The cycle repeats.

Says there has been no rain, but we have had a lot of rain. The chart is correct but everything else is completely wrong. We are getting rain again tomorrow as well. iOS 16 dev beta 7
That’s my point. It looks like the underlying data is there and correct, but somehow the UI for the tiles is not using it.
