Off compared to what? Different data providers use different forecasting methods so unless your comparison has the same data source it’s likely to be off.

Personally I really like the new weather app, but wish they would tone down the minute by minute predictions.

Well, you can compare it with an iPhone running iOS 15.6.1 in the same room and the forecasts in iOS 15 and 16 will be different.

I believe the “code” is 16.0 beta 7 and the text is saying it won‘t see the light of day until 16.1. For purposes here, I believe it is still identical to 16.0b7 with some string changes for the iPadOS version saying 16.1.
Nope, it is a completely different build. My iPad says: iPadOS 16.1 (20B5027f) whereas iOS is 20A5356a.

Any early takes on whether battery life is good?? I’ve been wanting to jump onto the 16 beta for a while but I don’t want my battery to take a hit.

Battery life has been excellent on the last beta and continues to be excellent on this beta thus far (13 Pro Max).

Expect the random background logging to continue after initially installing any beta for anywhere from an hour or two to upwards of 24-36 hours. After maybe 48 hours, reboot. Then give it a day or two before some more accurate battery readings can be seen.

Meaning- there's never a true or accurate way of knowing how the battery will behave until days later.

Going back to the iOS 16 Weather inaccuracies, here is an example of the forecasts in iOS 15 and 16 taken at the same time and place. Quite a difference…

Yep. That's my biggest gripe too. The percentage chance of rain is way off and unreliable. We're getting really close to RC so hopefully they have a fix in place, but seriously, if Apple releases iOS 16 with a borked weather app, that's pretty bad.

Guys, for some reason my notifications on lock screen are showing at the bottom of the screen and I have to swipe up to see all notifications. How can I fix this please? I have the List option selected in settings.

I wrote about this yesterday but it occurred again today after restarting my iPad Pro on 16.1. Mail messages could not be highlighted in the message list. They could be tapped and swiped but would never turn blue, so that with a keyboard, Magic Keyboard for me, the delete key could not be used to delete a message. Force quitting Mail corrected this as it did yesterday but it is odd that restarting the device caused this to occur again.
