Nope. They announced that about a month ago. iPadOS 16.1 will likely be released sometime in October (most likely in conjunction with the release of new iPads at an event in October)Thank you but thought both would be released same time

Just showing that they've done worse than that battery example. That doesn't look good to me. YMMV, however.
That one’s taking up the whole screen so not that difficult to read. A battery icon is much smaller and requires a much more conscious design.Just showing that they've done worse than that battery example.
I plan on restoring from backup when my 14 Pro Max shows up Friday. Same process, new year - I’ve been maintaining the same iPhone backup in iTunes since 2007!
Heh, different strokes for different folks I guess. I would definitely not enjoy doing that, and I’m glad I’ve never had toWow. I restart without restoring from a backup every few month (everything important is in my iCloud) just for fun. I love doing it. I could do it as a job all day 😅
OK you can relax and manage your device now. iTunes is out for Windows.iTunes will not be able to restore or install iOS 16 until it’s updated - there’s been discussion on this for like 3 pages already. iOS 16 is here now and if I didn’t already install the RC and didn’t want to install OTA, I would have no way to install the update. If I’m already on iOS 16 (which I am) now I have no way to manage my device.
If you are looking for itunes for windows the new itune app is out.
Holy crap! A whole 32 minutes later? The outrage!! What if I didn't want to wait 32 minutes after Apple released iOS 16 and didn't want to OTA it the moment it dropped? Then what?? Come on Apple get serious about your free upgrades! As predicted.
Vastly different in size, so not really an example in mine with what you’re comparing to.Just showing that they've done worse than that battery example.
Spot on. I am a Windows user as well but no one I know (also Windows users ) use iTunes to update their devices anymore. And most have multiple iPhones & iPads. I would say the 95% number is also a low guess. Also NONE of them have a clue that an update is out at 1:00 sharp on update day (or even that there is an update day) until they see it on their device maybe days later or on the news. Much less go into panic at 1:05 when there is no new iTunes update so they can update tethered.Or, more logically and realistically, the amount of windows users that update tethered is not worth prioritising, as the vast majority do it OTA.
Windows iTunes will get an update, but obviously there’s not enough users for them to prioritise that over iOS, tvOS, audioOS and other Apple related updates before them. Can’t blame them for looking after customers using their own platform first, and rolling out to the handful of windows users that tethered update their devices.
You just have to wait for it, cos you’re a lower priority than over 95% of the user base. The amount of people that tether update is drastically small these days, compared to the user base of iPhones. People go for the route of less hassle.
You can relax too - we figured that out hours ago.OK you can relax and manage your device now. iTunes is out for Windows.

I think you just nailed it. More like the re-install rather than the initial method. If you could re-install OTA I suspect folks would also see issues go away.End of the day it's a personal preference, no offence will ever be taken, I just share my honest findings and hope that helps some people.
I think the reinstalling process is what helps iron out any glitches. And always worth a go if somethings up 👍🏼

Oh I am cool as a cucumber. I saw it was out just after the update and wiped the sweat from my brow. Just getting around to reading and posting in this thread (due to my job and such). You can relax too - we figured that out hours ago.
Doubtful, in my opinion, but who knows.Does anyone know if and when IOS 16.1 beta is released, will it require a new beta profile?
It’s one profile for each major iOS version and there’s only been one instance where an updated profile was needed due to some technical issue iirc.Does anyone know if and when IOS 16.1 beta is released, will it require a new beta profile?

got some lock screen widgets with app updates today but they were pretty worthless.Barely any app updates with this release so far. Maybe developers are waiting for Live Activities.
