Sooooo…has the timer appearing on the Lock Screen been a thing throughout the beta? Or is this the non-14PM implementation of the dynamic Island?

Yes. It has always been showing on the lock screen since the first 16 beta

I’m having the same issue. It recognizes when I say “hey siri” but then gives me the “on it” then “something went wrong” replies. Speech to text isn’t working either. I’ve tried reboots, reset network settings. None of that works. It also made me realize how much I use text to speech. So if any one else has any ideas let me know
Same issue here, text to speech is not working, tried rebooting as well no luck, hopefully they can get this resolved

Dynamic weather lock screen sometimes need a second to refresh. It's for a moment only blue or grey, then the weather animation starts. Also the weather app seems not to refresh in the background every time. I open the app an it needs a couple of sec. to refresh the weather @my location. Maybe the reason why the lock screen also needs sec.
But I don't know if it is a bug or not. I remember one of the last betas had not this problem; or I did't recognise.

This beta has been biggest bollocks on battery life.

Definitely injected some ‘drain code’ to promote the new iPhone.
Yes! My 13 pro max is struggling to get 6 hours of screen on time. Almost debating to roll back to iOS 15.6.1 or 15.7 until they push out 16.1 in hopes that improves battery life.

Been good for me. Currently 5h 52m SonT and at 70% (5h 18m SoffT)

Now if they would fix Weather…
Says Chance of rain in next hour while showing partly cloudy graphics while it has been raining for the last two hours….

sigh 😞
Got 9h and 24 min on 13p Max

So for us SE users with already small
Batteries should we stay on 15 until battery life is sorted?
Battery life seems to be hit/miss. Mine is excellent on a 13. others have been fine also, some not as fine, it's kind of the way it goes when you have such a large group of people all with various devices.

iPhone 12 battery is rock solid.

Defietly got better as we worked through the betas - IPSW all the way.

Connectivity is still patchy though. Wi-Fi appears to be full strength but isn’t connected. Resets and reinstalls not fixed it this time. Ios16.1 🤞🏼

3 and a half hours of rain, carrot weather, living earth, google weather (google app) all said it’s raining, apple weather nothing, cloudy skies and 10% chance rain in the graphic, 80% today, 0% in Apple Watch app. Even when reporting it thru the app.

* it took 4 hours to show it’s raining, at least it still raining though it stopped a few minutes.

I have at least one app (DarkNoise) that has updated for iOS 16 and the release notes indicate that there should be a Lock Screen widget available. However it’s not there.

Wondering if Apple needs to do something server-side before third-party apps can access the Lock Screen? Or has anyone here successfully installed a third-party Lock Screen widget?

Have you opened the app from the Home Screen first? After you have opened the app once, it should appear in the widget selection screen.
