Mail Rules that actually work on each of my computers. I want to get rid of the number of Junk mail messages showing but it does not work for AOL.

Where is sideloading in the list? I kid, but more multitasking support like iPadOS would be nice.
To be fair I would sacrifice side loading if I only could share my Airtag with friends or family.

One airtag for the car keys. That everyone can see, share my wallet so everyone can see, instead of getting the unknown tag has followed you…

My wife sleep and the car keys are somewhere, then I can’t find them with my phone

Yep. Essentially a shortcut to airdrop a vcard and an easy way to ingest it upon the recipient's approval. It seems dead simple, the infrastructure's already in place as you point out. I can't speak for anyone else but it sure seems like a useful feature for a communications device.
I totally agree. It’s just a faster, more convenient and useful way to share information versus having to email text/SMS or screenshot.

It’s like the simplicity of what AirDrop is, you select a photo for example, click the persons name you want to Airdrop to, and it’s done. -Versus- selecting a photo, inserting into a text message, sending over Wi-Fi (Which can take several minutes or more).

RCS Support for Messages?!?!? ???

I can't breathe because I'm laughing so hard right now ??

How about being able to see or change star ratings on tracks in Music without needing to do several clicks? Used to be able to just long press/Force Touch on the artwork to bring up the stars. Bring that back.

I'd like to see an option to turn off notifications for a group of apps. E.g. turn off notifications for all dating apps.

Faster animation. At this point, I remember the positions of all buttons. I want to quickly tap them. Ne need for the slow animation to convey their hierarchy.

I would like to see fewer bugs. But with the decreased productivity we are seeing with software companies during CV19 disruptions I don’t expect much.

Wow that’s an exhaustive list.
iOS 16 is already baked so it is what it is - but my guess is we’ll be extremely lucky to get even one of those items on the wish list. They’ll likely string them out for the next 15 years.
It may be baked, but most of the items will not be delivered even moderately bug free for another 9 months or 16.4.x whichever comes first. So maybe Apple can throw a bunch of these in to compensate for the pain this year.

I’d like to see the podcast app allow you to archive podcasts that you finished or that are between seasons but you don’t want to delete.

I want to see them fix the keyboard's predictive text feature. Currently, and for as long as I can remember, the keyboard will suggest 3 words as you type. The problem is that sometimes the same word will appear as you add new letters, but the word jumps from the right to the middle position, or it jumps from the 1st to the middle position. As you move to select the correct word, it will jump to another position, causing you to select the wrong word instead.

If the same word is going to be suggested, leave it in the same place so that when you go to select it, it won't jump to another place.

I can't believe this is still happening.
With that keyboard AI guy gone for something like 3 years now (I think there was interview with him somewhere) I am very pessimistic about predictive text and Autocorrect ever getting better. It was better years ago where you could get an autocorrect, backspace delete, type the word you want again and it would STAY that way with a dot text red underline for misspelled and let you continue typing.

NOW, no matter how many times I backspace delete the autocorrected word, it still stubbornly says “F you. You’re going to take what word I give you!”

*edit. What is this voodoo nonsense? It’s back to accepting the underlined in red word… no more autocorrect after I correct it myself. :/

After using iPad for first time a few months ago, their App Library button at the bottom right where it opens all the apps is amazing :O

Why can’t iPhone have that? I never use App Library on iPhone… it’s a prescribed mess where it is difficult to find anything.

A way to disable audible notifications when the iPhone begins charging, or at least to set a custom sound in Sounds and Haptics. There are clumsy workarounds for this, but it deserves its own setting.

My wishlist is simple: focus on bugs squashing and performance on older devices ala iOS12.

I mean seriously, considering all the "new" features of any recent iOS', how many of us actually use them? If suddenly our iPhones' iOS got replaced with iOS13 or 12, would we even notice?
