I'm guessing it will be released alongside 16.7.2. So not only functionality but also security updates.
One would think, but I've stopped using logic when it comes to Apple and these sorts of things lol. I hate the whole idea of them announcing features, but not actually making them available until some update to be named later.Seems like the kind of thing that would be nearly finished when announced and/or have a small, dedicated team
if you have an original HomePod or HomePod mini, you'll be pleased to hear that HomePod 17.1 adds the Enhance Dialogue feature to these devices.
Hold your phone steady, don't take photos when drunkAny news on the blurry photos on iPhones 15?
Randomly wont have any control over volume for approx 10-15m then suddenly it works. Quite frustrating. Affects only some head units apparently. Never had any issues until ios17 landed. What bug is that? I haven't experienced any volume issues in CarPlay.
who would argue abasing that???????? it's nonsense. It's a feature. if they didn't like, they didn't have to use it! 🤦♂️I complained about this two years ago when they "broke" it in iOS 15, and everybody shot me down about it. It's still one of the most frustrating regressions in iOS since I first got an iPhone.
All these rumors we hear today about what Apple is about to do, give us and have in plans are absolutely not likely. Not even updates!
Pls MacRumors, change your vocabulary.
It’s getting close to slight humor at the best, and absolutely not rumor 😂
Thank you for the explanation. Looking forward to this update even more now. When a HomePod is used as an Apple TV speaker, Enhance Dialogue cuts down on background noise and music when there's speaking so you can better hear what's being said.
The interesting thing here precisely it´s that it does not seem to be doing that. It does not lower background music or sounds effects, nor does it compress the entire range and soundstage like "reduce loud sounds" does. It analyzes the audio mix in real time, find the spoken word, bring it forward to the virtual center channel that the Homepods create, and then amplifies it.
But something else seems to be going on here. Is like a volume cap has been lifted and it´s no longer there. The Homepods are now MUCH louder and clearer in general with the Apple TV with this setting turned on, and thus have much more headroom now for content mixed at a low volume.
Game changer feature, indeed.
Wait, there’s keyboard lag on the iPhone 15? Keyboard lag is the initial issue when updating iOS far enough. Keyboard smoothness is the first thing that breaks, the rest follows. I’ve never seen - nor have I experienced - keyboard lag on an original iOS version, ever. If the device you’re talking about is the iPhone 15, colour me surprised. For those who wait the lag on the keyboard when typing to disappear , you’re in for a treat. It’s a feature to stay.
Thank you for the explanation. Looking forward to this update even more now.
Same, I don't feel comfortable using third party apps with my journaling, what will they do with all that info? At least Apple explicitly says it stays local17.0 has been pretty solid for me, so I don't have much excitement about 17.1. I am, however, still waiting on the Journal app that was promised at WWDC - hopefully we will get it by 17.2?
You’ll be waiting at least 1 hour and 44 minutes more. Good luck.I'm WAITING!!!!
I have not seen or heard any issues with photosHold your phone steady, don't take photos when drunk![]()
