Twice.Did you submit the addition of your road to Google?
Certainly long before now.Apple Maps should’ve had downloadable maps for offline use from the beginning.
Around iOS 16.4, the battery life went bad, especially considering that I have an Apple Watch Series 7, WiFi version. The battery life on the watch has improved dramatically, but the iPhone SE is just okay. It's not hovering around 34% at night, but often 50+% is probably not where it should be.YES SIR, brought the screenshots!! Love to see it.
On a 2022 SE myself, 15.7. Absolutely solid, stable, with killer battery life. Gonna ride this bad boy out until apps aren’t being updated for iOS 15 anymore!
Are we getting any better battery life from iOS 17??
With my iPhone 14 Pro Max before the few most recent iOS updates i use to get 2 days of use out of my phone and come charge time it would be between 50-60% remaining.
Now with similar use and perhaps slightly less im getting between 25-35% remaining from 2 days use :/
I truly hope that you’re right. Me? I wouldn’t hold my breath. For years I have seen iOS updates wreak havoc and destroy otherwise fully functional phones. Been this way for 10+ years, no reason to think it is slowing down.Around iOS 16.4, the battery life went bad, especially considering that I have an Apple Watch Series 7, WiFi version. I hoping for iOS 17.1.1 to be better.
Yep. And we ended up with an ecosystem of operating systems with more bugs than apps.Functions, functions, functions. Apple's iOS was once known for its tremendous simplicity. There was a golden rule: focus on 80% of the features, but make those features solid and easy to use.
But Tim never got that, and needed new features every year to sell more and more, while scrapping the simplicity of iOS.
The features Apple wants to sell should be outsourced to apps without touching the core functionality.
But Tim never understood that.
There's certainly some of us in the UK who have never allowed whatsapp infection on their devices!I must be the only one who’s looking forward to the iMessage updates. I currently use WhatsApp most of us in the UK do, however I’d much prefer to use iMessage since it’s baked into the system, plus WhatsApp is owned by Facebook.
Apple seriously need to improve the reliability of voice notes in iMessage, as well as a few other things. If they have managed to do that then I would delete my WhatsApp account and use iMessage solely.
IOS 17 seems to be a nice little update, I will download later today (6pm here in the UK)
I dont do much phone calls overall however i do a lot of SMS/iMessages texting instead. Also where i live im not he border edge of 4G coverage so my phone stays constantly on one bar reception (which i know that makes battery life worse). That's really good battery life, how are you getting that, do you not use apps or your phone that much? I charge my phone every night, use it throughout the day and by the time I go to bed I have about 30% left.
Thats good to hear.I haven't noticed any discernible difference in battery life on my 14 Pro Max, I'm still getting approx a day and a half.
As I understood this one, they mean it's not an iPhone 15 exclusive, and that it would work on the 14.“The feature also works with the iPhone 14 Pro's always-on display”
Can someone clarify this perhaps?
Lazy of me perhaps, but I thought this was such a feature that StandBy was only available for always-on displays.
If all phones get this, it seems odd to me to point out that it will also work with the two latest generations of Pro models? Why would anyone thing it might not work with always on displays? Seems to be built for those, even if supported by other phones. How would you glance towards your phone during night and see the time on the clock if the display is not on? No matter how I look at it, I am confused. 🫤
