Beta toggle comes and goes randomly, also can't check for update, there is an endless loop. I though checking for updates would bring beta toggle back.
It was like this last year too. I thin then the beta toggle disappeared completely, actually, until the next beta was released. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It will be interesting to see what Apple adds in iOS 26.1 (and iPadOS 26.1) since all of the features they advertised for iOS 26 are available in the first release, at least as far as I’m aware. There will likely be more features and things that weren’t announced as well that we’ll see coming in some of these updates, as we usually do at least see a few. But this year seems primed to be full of some small but delightful surprises! And more Apple Intelligence features will likely roll out, which will be really exciting to see! 👍🏻

I would not expect 26.0.1 until at least next week. I really think more of early the week of the 29th but happy to be wrong. We haven't heard of any day 1 update leaking as a 26.0.1 so I don't think it comes this week. With review phones being out, I would think that would have leaked by now. I do anticipate a 26.0 out of the box from some other prior / older version of 26.0 they used to load on the phones to the version we got this week.

Also all of this may shape up more tomorrow if the review embargo is lifted and reviewers can start publishing those.

I think we may see 26.0.1 sooner than later. There’s an ongoing Mac App Store issue that some are able to workaround and some are not. I’d assume they’d want all these shiny new apps to be offered to folks…
